This memo pertains to our recent analysis of Emergis Inc. mission

statement and corporate goals. You will find a summary of findings,
concluding recommendations and analysis regarding what your
company’s operations, what it will be, your orientation, major goals,
philosophy and our recommendations in relation to these matters.

Emergis provides a secure high tech database system that allows for
automatic transfers of information within the health and financial
sectors. Emergis strives to continue its customer focus and satisfaction
by moulding to individual needs, and thus enabling it to achieve better
profits and market share. Although the end goal is profit, the focus
stressed is customer orientation.

As currently mentioned Emergis is customer oriented. See Group

Consulting believes this the appropriate orientation for a company
involved in the information technology sector. This focus is paramount
to Emergis’ success and maintaining competitive advantage.

Major goals outlined include:

• Greater efficiency and quality of services
• Continued profitability
• Maintaining superior customer knowledge

Presently these goals are appropriate; however See Group Consultants

suspects that in five years the firm will need to focus on sustainable
operations along with growth. As this market matures Emergis’ goals
will require an increased focus on competitors’ actions.

Emergis’ philosophy is directed towards the customer and providing

that customer with superior service with minimal emphasis on external
stakeholders such as the local community, the environment and
suppliers.

See Group Consulting believes Emergis’ mission statement

demonstrates an ability to answer what it does best, what needs are
met and who is being satisfied. Emergis provides secure high tech
database systems along with a superior customer knowledge and
service to the health and financial sectors.
In conclusion after complete analysis See Group Consulting found a
lack of future direction and research and development, along with any
involvement or responsibility towards external stakeholders as
previously mentioned. We acknowledge that Emergis is a young
company but feel it is necessary that Emergis becomes more future
oriented. Although it’s current short term goals are being achieved
successfully without a long term vision Emergis may find itself no
longer competitive in this ever-evolving industry.

Research and development is assumed to be taking place within the

company. However, See Group Consulting believes that in the
information technology industry research and development should be
more visibly stated as a mission and goal.
