Reaching Bangalore
Bangalore is well connected by road to all major cities in South India. If you are reaching Bangalore by Bus, please alight at Kempe Gowda Bus Stand and take an Auto Rickshaw to our office (approx 50 Mins). If you are coming by train, we suggest you that you alight at the Bangalore Cantonment Station (stops only for a few minutes) and hire a pre-paid taxi/autorickshaw to our office. You may also alight at Bangalore City Station and hire a pre-paid taxi/autorickshaw to our office in which case the distance to our office is a little higher. Further details will be given to you on reaching our office. For those of you who happen to arrive at Bangalore before the joining date, given below are addresses of a few Guest houses where you could stay. Please remember expenses for staying before July 20, 2009 will not be reimbursed by us

These guest houses can be booked through centralized booking system at +91 80 41150505, and on email. sales@cgh.co.in The tariff ranges between Rs950/- & Rs1700/- per day based on the various facilities offered. You will be paid one way 2 A/c rail fare or A/c Bus fare from your hometown to Bangalore. This is applicable only to you and is not extended to any other person accompanying you. Reimbursement would be made only upon production of original tickets / receipts.

Things to Bring Along

1. Sufficient Money Your first salary from SISO would be paid on the last working day in July 2009. Hence it is imperative that you have sufficient money to tide over till July 30, 2009. We will provide lunch or dinner (based on the training schedule) at our office premises from Monday to Friday. Breakfast will also be provided by us for the initial period of stay at the hotel. Arrangements for meals during the weekends will be at your cost. You will have to bear your own laundry expenses. 2. Dress Code for the 1st week of training a) Formal clothing with Blazers/Suits for men and formal (Indian/Western clothing) for women between the July 21, 2009 to July 25, 2009, as this period would commemorate the 1st phase of your training. b) A part of the first weeks training would involve physical activities, therefore you are requested to dress appropriately for this (tracks/shorts/comfortable clothes) as well. 3. Dress Code for the remaining 6 weeks of your training We would expect you to be dressed in formal clothing through the entire induction training Men should wear formal shirts and pants with neck ties and leather shoes. Women have a choice of wearing Salwar Kameez, formal shirts & trousers or Sarees during the entire training. 4. Passport Since there might be overseas travel within the first few months of joining, It is imperative that you have a passport by the time you join SISO. In case you do not have one, please apply for the same immediately. More information on this can be had from www.passport.nic.in If you need to obtain a passport in Bangalore, you need to be a resident of Bangalore for a minimum of 1 year before applying failing which the application is summarily rejected. Hence we request you to apply for the same from your home town to avoid such inconveniences.

D (HRD) Accommodation Accommodation will be arranged by us for the initial period of 2 weeks from the date of your joining. This facility will be available for only those who have already confirmed their intentions earlier. The accommodation facility will end on Sunday, August 2, 2009. The accommodation facility is extended only to employees of SISO and is not available for the family members/relatives accompanying. If you happen to arrive at Bangalore before the joining date, then you will have to make your own arrangements for accommodation until July 20, 2009.
This accommodation is being provided by SISO in various service apartments within the vicinity of SISO on a best effort basis. Hence a little adjustment from your end is mandated.
