Introduction This website tells how to make a copy of any SIM card of GSM standard. Using clo nes you get many advantages, such as cheap outgoing calls, low-cost mobile Inter net, several numbers of various operators in one phone, and many other things. I t is possible to read any SIM card, ever including these with strong cryptoalgor ithm called Comp2 and 3 with 128-bit key. What provides a Mutli-SIM card? This is a special SIM card which contains up to 16 different phone numbers of va rious mobile operators. Today, anybody can clone SIM, and then add each copy to a common Multi-SIM card. For a long time this method was only available for part icular technicians. The technique did not become wide popular, because a reading device had high price. Also there was a problem: to give own SIM into strange h ands. But today everybody can easy make a multi-SIM card at home with minimum ex penses. The Multi-SIM card provides the same functions as an original SIM-card. But it h as many advantages. You may set separate codes PIN & PUK, SMS-centre for each ph one number of 16 in the SIM-emulator. Any GSM network will not see a difference between original and cloned SIM. A Multi-SIM card provides the following opportunities: - A group of users can make cheap calls from one number. It is possible after cl oning SIM and subscription to low tariffs. Sometimes it is ever possible to use number simultaneously (calling from different areas of a big city or from differ ent cities). To be more exactly, users may call concurrently only from different BSC. A BSC, i.e. base station controllers is a component of GSM network, which manages own fleet of base stations. Also, it is possible to call at the same ti me (using the same number) from different networks. For example, one group calls from home network, other group calls from other networks in international or na tional roaming. But there is no warranty of simultaneous call because it depends of configuration of each BSC . Here is a typical example of successful usage. A group (for example 20 users) buys a SIM with wholesale rates. From 2 up to 20 p ersons should be in this "team", not more. Then SIM has to be cloned and each us er receives a copy. Let the total monthly fee is 100$, but each user pays 100/20 =5$ only. Each participant received a lot of cheap calls and SMS against the ind ividual tariffs, and the result is saving money. Thus this is very useful techni que for usage in a corporate group and reducing outgoing calls expenses. - One SIM works in phone, the second works in Internet (in modem, laptop, PC). Y ou can use the first SIM card for GPRS Internet on computer, and the second SIM can work in your mobile phone. It is possible simultaneously, without interferen ce to each other, because a GPRS session and telephony session are separated. A distance between GPRS and telephony is not important. Multiple users can work i n Internet GPRS by turns, but not simultaneously. - The Multi-SIM stores up to 16 phone numbers of different operators. Now there

is no need to change SIM cards in/from your phone). It gives an opportunity in t he best way to change providers of GSM services, depending on prices and coverag e in various places of your country. No more changing SIM cards, and each time t o setup a clock and calendar. - An opportunity to insert a copy of SIM in a car phone and never take out an or iginal SIM from your mobile phone. - Increase record count of SIM-card phonebook up to 200 (many usual SIMs store n ot more 100). Also, it is possible to increase stored SMS up to 20. - An opportunity to use an operator-locked mobile phone (without its real unlock ing). A service-locked phone is a such phone, which works with the programmed op erator only, and it cannot register with any other mobile operators. Users have many reasons why they cannot unlock their phones. For example, it can be forbidd en by their contact, a phone had been programmed by manufacturer in hardware lev el. Warranty is void after unlocking. Also, it can be some exclusive model and a nybody is able to unlock it. During starting up, a locked phone checks an IMSI o f the SIM-card inserted. If IMSI belongs to locked operator, then the phone star ts successfully. You can use the SIM-emulator for loading a locked phone. And th en use it with other mobile operators. At first you should load to SIM-emulator a "native" mobile operator your phone is locked with. Starting, the phone checks for "native" IMSI. Then you can switch to other operator, using the function "S el.phone" of the SIM-Emulator. For example, a phone is locked for UK.T-Mobile, b ut you want to use it in UK.Orange network. For this, input to the SIM-Emulator a boot-position for T-Mobile: IMSI 082943030000000000 KI FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF FFFFFFFFF (any). Here are IMSI of any mobile operator. Thus, this possibility is useful for many locked phones. It is problem to find unlocking software and dat a-cables for these phones. The SIM-Emulator allow using a phone without its unlo cking. - You can manage of account balance of your relatives and charge the accounts. - In case if your phone is lost or stolen, you always have information for resto ration SIM-card (this info contains 50 digits only, you can ever store it on pap er). - you can enter new numbers to a Multi-SIM, modify or delete them simply using p hone keypad. There is no need to remove the SIM card. There is a possibility to create a virtual Multi-SIM. It is a program which runs on the Siemens phones. Outwardly it looks like an ordinary phone with an usual SIM cart inside with operator's logo and with a serial number printed at its sur face. But inside the phone an additional menu will appear which allow to switch between various phone numbers. In this case you do not need a physical Multi-SI M. It is enough to program your Siemens with a special patch, called "Multi-SIM without physical SIM-card". You can upload many phone numbers to phone memory, ( from 1 to 10, and ever 100). Thus you can use a physical Multi-SIM, or use Multi-SIM without SIM-card. But fi rst of all you have to read a registration information from an original SIM, in order to write it to a Multi-SIM. And this website tells how do it. Please note that this technology does not provide free calls, SMS, GPRS Internet and the like. All expenses will be charged from your mobile account. You will pay for each service according to your contact with operator. The technology is created to reduce expenses for mobile communication not only for you, also for y our relatives, friends and staff of your company. A need to use GSM-bridges beco mes no longer relevant, your budget will be more saved.

At market you can meet a double Chinese card "2 in 1". This is a container with microchip and two usual SIM .Before use, the two chips of original SIMs must be cut out of to small size in order to fit the container. This method has more wea kness than advantages. There is a large risk to damage a SIM during cutting out. Ever if you have cut the kernels successfully, after few weeks it begins work w rong. The electric contacts of the cut SIMs become lose, and phone works with tr oubles, lose network, switches off. Often the situation ends with a replacement of SIM cards. Finally, this twin-SIM cannot be distributed among your people. The Multi-SIM card is based of the "PIC Micro" microcontrollers. It runs under s pecial software called "SIM-Emulator" ver 16 in1. A separate PIN code could be p rogrammed for each number. In order that switch active number to another you sho uld just enter other PIN code or use menu "Sel.Phone" of the Sim-Emulator. Only one phone number of SIM-emulator card may be active at the moment. The reason is that the receivers of majority of mobile phones allow receiving radio signal fr om one channel only. However, you can use the divert service in order to divert all incoming calls from unused numbers to your active number and you never miss the incoming calls. Simultaneous work of cloned phones in GSM network. There are networks where clones can call simultaneously without interference to each other. But there also networks which do not allow such calls. The clones ca n call by turn only. Let see in details this issue: 1. If network supports simultaneous calls. Such calls could be made only from di fferent base station controllers (BSC), i.e. from various cities or ever regions . If your city is big (more than million) it probably has more than one BSC of a specified operator. Therefore clones can call simultaneously within one big cit y, but from different districts (different BSC). When the first clone is calling , the second cannot make outgoing call within this BSC. The phone will show a me ssage like "call ended" or "call dropped". Thus, who first began to call, that c ontinues to hold the connection. The other clones within this BSC cannot call, a ll what they can - periodically try to establish connection waiting for their t urn. 2. If network do not support simultaneous calls. When the first clone is calling , an attempt to call of another phone will drop all connections of this number. At that, each phone (which called, and the one which made attempt to call) will show a message "network error", "network problem" etc. Thus, everything depends of network setting. Each region of country may have an individual setting. Which same, this possible to know experimentally. When an incoming call goes to clones only one phone will ring up. This is the ph one which is latest registered in the GSM network, i.e. the phone which was call ing or tried to call more recently. A phone registers into GSM in the following cases: 1. Almost always when phone switches on. 2. Periodically when a coverage of network is weak. 3. When entering to a network, for example when you come out from metro or a basement; or when you manually select a new network in a phone menu. Therefore only the latest registered phone will ring. Today, not many operators use high end antifraud systems. This are special progr ams which prevents fraud in network. In some cases, antifraud can detect clones and block such numbers. The way of detection is quite simple. Let two outgoing c alls were made with little difference of time and with big distance one from ano ther. Clearly, that it is impossible to pass distance 100 km for 1 minute, there fore this is the reason for antifraud detection. Depending of system's settings, a result may be barring (temporary or permanent), or advanced monitoring of sus picious number. Anyway, these cases happens quite seldom in real life. SIM Cards cloning history In 1998, a group of independent researchers from "Smartcard Developer Associatio

n" (SDA) and two co-workers from Berkley University reported that they had have success in cloning a SIM-card of GSM standard. Heretofore, people think that SIM s have such strong protection that they neither could not be cloned. In other wo rds, it was impossible to make few phones, which would use the same number of or iginal phone. For example, a poster of Pacific Bell Company shows a cloned sheep and asserts that SIM cannot be cloned. Less than a day (!) the researchers disc overed a bug in GSM algorithm, which uses for security of confidential data of S IM. The bug could be found and patched early in design-time, if GSM algorithms w ould be opened. But in real life hundreds of millions defective SIMs came to exp loitation and continue to work in mobile phones. And now everybody can find out in Internet a source code, which describes all interaction between SIM card and phone and shows the defect of security algorithm. Also there are a lot of softwa re and devices in Internet, designed for cloning SIM cards. We are trying to be the best in this sphere. Owners of cellular phones should not worry now. Without physical access to SIM c ard for 0.3-1.5 hours their SIM cannot be cloned. But there are not any guarante es for future. Theoretically, ever a little java-game can clone a SIM in backgro und process, then send the result to the Internet with game score. Therefore the GSM operators found themselves in very unpleasant situation. It is a problem to track a clone, and nobody wants to spend money for modern antifraud systems. So me operators are sure so much that clones do not exist and their SIM cannot be c loned. And they do not take measures to discover clones. Although the algorithms Comp 2 and 3 are more secured but it also have bugs which allow to clone such S IMs. Next
