1. You must Use Cement Concrete as per your structural drawings but it should be done with Mechanical mixer and vibrator to increase the strength and life of the structure and safety against earthquake and other natural disasters. 2. Provide sun shade on outer doors and windows to protect them from heat and rain. 3. Use coarse aggregate and fine aggregate after washing with water. 4. Use wet bricks in brick masonry. 5. Do proper curing so that cement work may get full strength. 6. Fix doors and windows frames during masonry work.
1. Do not use salty water in cement concrete to avoid rusting of steel. 2. Do not use fine sand and sand containing silt in cement concrete work as it reduces the life of structure.

Stage wise material will help you procure the raw material properly. A lot of times, the building owner do not keep track of the material used in their construction and the labor uses this lack of information to either use sub standard material or use less than the specified quantity.

Recommendations
a. Use clean water free from salt, organic matter and insoluble impurities. In general drinking water is suitable for construction work. b. All materials like bazari, coarse sand should be cleaned and free from dust, organic matters and other foreign material, silt etc. c. Sand used in cement concrete should be coarse sand having silt less than 4%.
d. All cement concrete work should be mixed with mechanical mixer and vibrated with mechanical vibrator. e. Cement plaster taken at item serial No.8 is bearing plaster which should be done on top of wall before laying RCC slab. It reduces the chances of cracks at the junction of roof and wall which is formed due to expansion and contraction of RCC slab due to change in weather. f. All cement concrete mix should be 1:1.5:3 instead of 1:2:4 according to new guide line for earth quack safety
g. Sand used in cement concrete should be coarse sand having silt less than 4%. h. The rates provided for vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles are from repudiated make, steel railing and wood work are of best quality material & supplied by you. i. j. k. All cement concrete mix should be mechanical mix and vibrated. The formwork of R.C.C. column should be steel (FARMA) not by giving temporary support of wooden batten/ planks or brick support. It is advisable that at the time of purchasing or allotting the work to any contractor rates should be verified at least from three to four contractors from the local market with the quality of the materials and work. There is very high fluctuation in the rates. The rate varies with the quality and specification of the materials. Item taken at sr no 3 is concrete mixed with cement and sand duly compacted. Generally it is seen that contractor laid dry brick ballast which should be avoided.
l.
m. The rates for the water supply and sanitary work are of medium quality. n. For electrical work labor for laying pipe, junction, box, wiring, switches, and main switches etc has been taken in the estimate. o. At item no 50 cost of pipes junction box, fan hook switches, sheets M C B & wires etc have been taken. Fans, A.C, decorative light & exhaust fans are not taken.
