La Clnica del Pueblo, Inc. (LCDP) a bilingual, Federally Qualified Health Center providing culturally appropriate health services to uninsured and underinsured Latino immigrants and others in need in the Washington, DC metropolitan area seeks qualified bilingual professionals for the following positions. HIV Prevention Counselor Position Emphasis: This position will conduct HIV prevention counseling, testing, and referrals at LCDP on and off-site testing locations. Minimum Education Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess two years experience working in HIV prevention; experience providing HIV prevention counseling and testing preferred. Knowledge of Latino immigrant community and ability to work with all segments of the community. Experience working with sexual minorities, including TG and MSM. High motivation for work in HIV prevention field and strong ethical core. Detail oriented, self-starter, highly organized. Bilingual Spanish/English; fluent spoken and written Spanish, bicultural. Proficient with MS Word Excel or other similar software programs and the Internet. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Salary Range: $22,621 - $24,318 (full-time annual equivalent) dependent upon experience; plus benefits. Closing Date: September 9, 2011. (Interviews ongoing) Project Officer - Bilingual Preferred (Full-time) Position Emphasis: Prepares grant and contract applications and related reports to raise funds to enable La Clinica to fulfill its mission. Assists with other functions in the Development Office as assigned by the Grants & Contact Manager and the Chief Development Officer. Minimum Education Requirement: BA degree. Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses one to three years significant work experience in non-profit organizations. Project Management and grant writing experience, a plus. Requires strong writing and listening skills; possesses business math background and budget experience; able to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure. Ability to speak or read and write Spanish, strongly preferred. Proficient with MS Word Excel or other similar software programs and the Internet. Familiarity with Raisers Edge and Financial Edge software, a plus. Submit two writing samples along with resume and cover letter. Lead Case Manager (Full-time) Bilingual


Position Emphasis: The Lead Case Manager will assist the Department Director to ensure that efficient and quality HIV case management services are provided. Serves as team leader and provides support to case managers in the delivery of case management services. Provides medical case management to clients living with HIV, and coordinates the assignment of clients and monthly reporting for the case managers. Minimum Education Requirement: BA degree in health & human services field. Minimum Qualifications: Three years experience in direct social services. Previous experience and/or training in working with HIV+ individuals. Two years prior experience in related work in the Latino community. Ability to work with individuals from a wide variety of racial, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Bilingual/SpanishEnglish, Bicultural. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ryan White Services Coordinator (RN) (Bilingual) Full-time (32 hrs/wk)


Position Emphasis: This position will lead the interdisciplinary HIV team in the achievement of positive health outcomes for La Clinicas Ryan White clients. Minimum Education Requirement: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing and licensed RN. Minimum Qualifications: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the District of Columbia. Two years previous experience working in HIV care. Two years prior experience working in a Latino community preferred. Program management and quality improvement experience preferred. BLS certification. MS Office or equivalent computer experience; Practice Management/EMR Software experience. Bilingual, Spanish-English. Chief Medical Officer (Bilingual) Full-time


Position Emphasis: The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for overall patient services to ensure quality of care standards are met in the delivery of health care services and quality assurance of LCDP programs/activities to allow LCDP to carry out its mission. This position serves as a part of the executive management team. Minimum Education Requirement: Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD, DO); MPH and/or MBA, preferred. Minimum Qualifications: Board Certified in area of specialty, Family Physician preferred. Must possess a current license to practice in the District of Columbia. Valid DC Controlled Substance and DEA licenses required. Must meet requirements for credentialing. Three years experience and demonstrated skills in quality medical care, leadership, management, quality assurance, planning and evaluation. Experience supervising clinical and non-clinical staff and departments preferred. Requires significant financial and budget management experience. Familiarity with data collection and statistical analyses. Previous work experience in the Latino community preferred. Fluent in Spanish and English. MS Office or equivalent computer experience; Practice Management/EMR Software experience. Send Salary requirements in cover letter.
