Would you like to reach over 600 alumni who would be receptive to helping their fellow Beta Deltas? As our current advertisers can attest, the Bugle is an excellent and inexpensive way to reach your fellow alumni, and has yielded results for the majority of our advertisers. You can gain a tax deduction and support your alumni organization. The cost for your ad is only $25.00 per issue.Advertisers generally commit to four quarterly issues over a one-year period. If you have any interest in this worthwhile endeavor, please contact Glenn Long at 609-924-7720.

Recolonization Update
Things are progressing rapidly with Beta Deltas recolonization efforts. We expect to begin recruiting new members when the spring semester begins on January 17th, 2007. As I have mentioned before, it will require significant time, effort, commitment, and financial support to bring Beta Delta back.Weve been blessed with an incredible outpouring of support so far.Thank you to all who have reached out to us. We recently hosted Dave Westol, Executive Director of Theta Chi, who led a group of us through a briefing on the mechanics of the recolonization effort. National Headquarters will assign two part-time men to begin recruitment. They will live close to the Rutgers campus and will coordinate with the university in their efforts to target young men who would be candidates for rushing to our renewed chapter. In addition, the Beta Delta Alumni Board has agreed to partially underwrite a third person who

would be dedicated more exclusively to Rutgers, assuming that a person is hired in time to meet our January target. This expenditure will be approximately $5,000 and we will be soliciting financial support in a separate mailing once we have definite plans to move forward. Perhaps the most important part of our success will be the support and time provided by alumni in mentoring and guiding the new colony in its nascent stage. If anyone has some time to offer, please email me at stevetracey@optonline.net.We have a good group of alumni already formed but we need more help. If you could possibly spare a few hours over the coming year it would mean a great deal to the chapter. Please feel free to email me or call me at (908) 962-8301 with any questions, ideas, or concerns. Theta Ch for life! Fraternally, Steve Tracey 78 Vice-President Beta Delta/Theta Chi Alumni Association
