STRATEGY / LEADERSHIP Leverage extensive experience leading the effective development and integration of technology strategy into short-term and long-range business planning efforts to drive organizational effectiveness and exceed corporate goals and objectives. Spearheaded development and execution of Barclays Banks first Global Systems Plan technical strategy for international banking business, interlinking 500 processors and multiple public networks in 25 countries through 48 different systems projects.
Managed the de-centralization of mainframe processing and the implementation of ten remote processing centers through-out Asia and Europe. I produced the overall architecture and systems design, then developed the custom software and interfaced in to commercial software. I acquired the hardware, software, hired the local staff and managed implementation in each country. This was a $30 million set of projects.

Implemented an EDI infrastructure to support customer imports through customs clearance, billing and shipment tracking. This improved just-in-time processing for Honda, Caterpillar and 3M as well as many others. Developed EDI with the Airline industry to acquire real-time tracking data used for logistics monitoring. .

Directed the development of BAX Globals first eCommerce systems for B2B freight rating, purchasing, tracking and billing. Directed the development of an eCommerce B2B system for purchasing business services for Business Service Connection. Directed the development of multiple Purchase Order Management systems for B2B business clients, supported though client/server, Web access and EDI. Customers included GM, Ford and Apple.
Skinit.com Participated in founding the company and developing their B2C and B2C solutions, supporting HP, Dell and Disney. Designed and directed the development of new Internet and Intranet Web based applications for shipment management, data warehousing and document/image management. Directed the development of a package scanning system for tracking of freight, from initial collection of the packages, through delivery. The system was installed and over 1,000 scanners were implemented. This system is also supported by a client/server system running on over 1,500 PCs. Symbol 3100 scanners were used with both direct connect and RF communications. Directed the development the strategy and products for SNS Systems Electronic Commerce Division (now part of Bell Canada Emergis), for internet B2B services.. Provided consulting in strategic planning of the company's future information products. Produced systems designs, provided project management and resource staffing of a team to develop a series of Internet product offerings, which include a supply chain management services, shipment tracking and Web enabled EDI for shipment and order processing.

Leverage expertise in Internet enabling of on-line interactive applications for B2B and B2C E-Commerce organizations. Developed strategic technology and business plans for more than 20 companies. Supported multiple companies in their start-up phase. Selected Achievements: Launched Skinit.com, developing business plans and securing capital funding to propel growth. Developed technical designs, assisted in acquiring an EDI company and setting strategic direction as lead project consultant for major revision of software for ACOM, an electronic payment systems company. Directed the development of Navigation and Traffic software for mobile phones licensed to MapQuest while acting as President for Bluecove Interactive. The Navigation software was sold to Verizon and is now VZ Navigator.
Directed the development of a B2C Web project for Encargo. A new company providing buying and transportation services into Latin American. Currently providing logistics consulting and project management of their systems development efforts.

Provided consulting services for the Electronic Commerce Division for Web and EDI initiatives for ARINC, an airline owned networking company that provides aircraft tracking and management services for airports and the FAA, as well as a variety of services for GPS satellite tracking for trucks (including FedEx). Services included analysis of customer needs, communications consulting for their customers converting to VPN, and production of RFPs for development initiatives.

BURLINGTON AIR EXPRESS 1995 1997 Provider of transportation logistics services for medium to large-scale multinational companies. Director, Applications Development Managed all aspects of applications development, providing leadership and direction to team of over 100 development staff along with contract developers. Facilities included one primary data center with mainframe, AS/400s and multiple UNIX systems in addition to multiple international satellite centers with AS/400s and UNIX based systems connected globally. Directed numerous projects supporting freight management, supply chain management, import/export operations and B2B projects through online, client/server, EDI and Web technologies Director, Corporate Systems at Air Express International Led team of 72 development staff, overseeing mainframe, minicomputer and LAN technology in support of global business in more than fifty countries. Managed the implementation of remote processing centers in Japan, New Zealand and Australia Managed a project to develop the Logistics component to SAP for Intel in concert with FEDEX and Intel. Vice President, Information Services Division at The Harper Group, Inc. Directed over 50 staff in support of all information service functions across the company, including primary data processing center and ten distributed remote sites operating throughout Europe and the Far East. Directed the implementation of all ten remote sites.
Conceived and directed development of a Material Order Management system for transportation logistics management of supplier material used for JIT manufacturing, in support of General Motors, Dell computer and Apple computer. Directed the development of a package scanning system for tracking of freight, from initial collection of the packages, through delivery. The system was installed and over 1,000 scanners were implemented. This system is also supported by a client/server system running on over 1,500 PCs. Symbol 3100 scanners were used with both direct connect and RF communications. Implemented a migration plan to distributed processing on remote minicomputers and PCs connected to an IBM mainframe processor utilizing both client/server, and thin client architecture. Directed Implementation of EDI with over 500 customers and vendors. Reduced communications expenses in both data and voice by 12% by implementing a variety of internetworking and EDI techniques and through contract negotiation, while increasing data network access by over 200%.
