1.Introduction
Thank you for choosing Reliance Netconnect+. With Reliance Netconnect+ you can surf internet on the go. The pictures in this "user guide" are used to indicate Reliance Netconnect+ functions, so they may appear different on the modem dialer. Please refer to your Data Modem if there are differences.

2.Safety Warnings and Precautions


Use the original accessories or those authenticated by the manufacturer. Using any unauthenticated accessories may affect the data terminals performance, violate the warranty provisions or relevant national regulations about telecom terminals, or even cause body injury. Do not disassemble, modify, frequently pull/plug the antenna, stretch, rotate or bend the antenna with great force. Before pulling out the data modem, please use Windows safely remove hardware method and make sure to exit the application. Do not directly pull out the modem to avoid the damage of data modem or normal operation of operating system. Do not forcefully plug/pull the data modem to avoid the damage of connector. Do not use your data modem near weak signal or high-precision electronic devices. Radio wave interference may cause misoperation of electronic devices or other problems. Turn off your data modem on airplane where its forbidden to use. The data modem may affect the normal operation of electronic devices, therefore please follow the relevant regulations when using your data modem on airplane. Turn off your data modem in hospital where its forbidden to use. The data modem may affect the normal operation of medical apparatus, therefore please follow the relevant regulations when using your data modem in hospital. Please do not use the data modem near flammable or explosive materials, otherwise it might cause failure or fire. Keep your data modem away from water. This may cause overheating or failure if water or any other kind of liquid enters your data modem. Please do not use your data modem near high temperature, damp or dusty place. Keep your data modem away from children to avoid shock, plunge or impact. It may cause body injury when the data modem is used as a toy.

4. Using modem as storage device.

Insert MicroSD Card

Remove the back cover. Insert Micro SD card as indicated in fig. above. Close the back cover. Insert modem in the usb interface of PC. Removable Disk icon will appear. One can copy/paste or delete the files to and from the removable disk. Note: 1. Removable disk icon will appear only after installation of modem drivers. 2. Micro SD support upto 2GB.

5.Install and Uninstall


Install and Uninstall under Windows System
Install 1. 2. 3. Please connect Data Modem to PC through USB interface. You could also use data cable to connect. The installation will start automatically. Please follow installation wizard. The system will automatically find new hardware and install the driver. Wait for a while. Click Finish to complete installation.

After the Dialer is installed successfully, icon will appear on your desktop. Double-click this icon or select from Start Programs Reliance Netconnect+ Reliance Netconnect+. Run the application to display the user interface. Note: 1. 2. Uninstall previous versions of ZTE Dialer before attempting to install Data Modem dialer, to ensure successful installation. Please connect Data Modem and PC with USB extension cable under weak signal to obtain optimal performance. If necessary, adjust the Data Modem's position.

Uninstall 1. 2. Select Start Programs Reliance Netconnect+ Uninstall Reliance Netconnect+, and you will be asked if you want to remove the program. Click Yes to uninstall. Please wait and then click OK to complete uninstallation.

Install and Uninstall under MAC System


Install 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Insert the Data Modem. Double-click the icon Double-click the icon . on the Desktop.

Double-click the icon in the setup volume to start the setup wizard. Follow the wizard to complete the installation step by step. Click Restart to complete the software installation.

Uninstall 1. 2. Select Finder Applications Reliance Netconnect+ Uninstall Reliance Netconnect+, and you will be asked if you want to remove the program. Click Yes to uninstall. Please wait and then click OK to complete uninstallation.

7. ACTIVATION
In order to access internet, you should activate the USB modem first.

You can Click

to activate the modem.

Press "ESC" on keyboard to end activation process. Note: Activation is not allowed in Netconnect+ mode. Please switch to Hybrid or High Speed 1X mode for activation.

9. Connection Logs

Click

icon to view Connection Logs . Connection records save the data session information.

By switching among "List", "Month" and "Statistic", one can check the records by month or by time. NoteThe relevant information contained in connection records are just for user's reference rather than the charging basis. Delete Connection Records

10. Settings

Click

to enter the settings interface.

Network Connection Settings Set the network parameters (phone number, username, password), work mode, etc. After the setting, click "Apply" button to save the settings on the current interface. Click "Default" button and then "Apply" button to restore the settings on the current interface to factory default. Note: The default network setup parameters are as below. Different regions may have different network setup parameters, so please consult your local telecom operator. Phone: #777 User: Password: Other Settings Click "Options" to switch the interface, and you could set URL . After the setting, click "Apply" button to save the settings on the current interface. Click "Lock Code" button to set lock device. The password is required when you start the application. The setting has nothing to do with "Default" button. Click "Default" button and then "Apply" button to restore the settings on the current interface to factory default. Update Select "Dialer Upgrade" to Upgrade the dialer software.

Mode: Modem operates in three modes.

High speed 1X When user selects this mode modem will latch only to High speed 1x network. Netconnect+ When user selects this mode modem will latch only to Netconnect + network. Here user will observe higher data speeds and rich web browsing experience. Hybrid When user selects this mode modem will latch on to the available service so that user can enjoy seamless connectivity.

11. Lock USB Modem

Click Settings options to select Lock USB Modem. Check verify password when startup. You can set password to lock the USB Modem. When the modem is locked, click Settings button then select Unlock USB Modem, input password and click OK, the USB Modem will be unlocked.

13. Trouble-shooting for Windows and MAC


Failures
Error occurs during the program installation.

Causes
The setup file may be damaged. Directly run the software before the usb modem is plugged in. The port is occupied by other applications, such as "Hyper terminal", or the software is already running. Out of the network service area. Wrong setting of parameters. (Phone, Username, Password.) No account balance Network congestion or failure. USB modem is already connected. Poor network signal. The program has already been installed in current system. Autorun function in CD-ROM is disabled because of installation of anti-virus software in the system, or Windows Vista system itself disables Autorun function by CD-ROM by default. CD-ROM icon will automatically disappear once the program is installed successfully. The program is not yet installed, and no other previous version was installed in the system.

Solutions Please download the program on our website http://www.ztemt.com/ennewzte/default.acti on and reinstall it. Close the software, plug in the usb modem and run it again.
Close relevant software and start the application again. Make sure it is in the CDMA network service area. Input correct parameters. Consult your service provider for details. View signal strength indication use usb cable to obtain optimal performance Firstly remove the original program and insert the modem again.

Firstly remove the original program and insert the modem again. Please restart your computer. Please contact your local operator or product technical support center if CD-ROM disk icon doesn't appear after your computer is restarted.

No CD-ROM disk icon in "My Computer".

The driver might be unable to work and the application is unable to run normally if the modem is pulled out and plugged The operating system needs in again when the application is installing Update Roll 1 patch for being used under Win2000 Win2K SP4. operating system . (SP4).In this case, usb modem in device manager will be marked with yellow exclamation mark, and the system must be restarted to run normally.
