Lesson 1 -- Exodus 1:1-22

Many years after Joseph’s death, the Pharaohs forgot about all the things that Joseph had
done. A new Pharaoh began to worry that the Israelites (Hebrews) were becoming too
numerous and could actually rise up against the Egyptians.

Read Exodus 1:6-10

The Pharaoh began to force the Israelites into slavery It was a time of great construction in the
nation of Egypt. The Israelites became very important in all of the building projects that the
