SUPPORTING FI,OOR AIPHA 55 HB

DEFINITION:
A supporting steel decking is constituted of a galvanized steel element which while offering a shattering for pouring the concrete, shares in the resistance as a composite section with concrete s ab. The corrugated form and the longitudinal pressed parts allow a mixture of concrete and steel as it allows us to follow the recommendations for calculating the mixed floors.

USE:

. . .

Floors of multi - storey and terraces of buildings for: Housing Offices lndustrial ....etc.

BEHAVIOR IN SEISMIC ZONES:

ln case of use in Seismic Zones, the sections should be fixed in all the supports (intermediate and end ones) by using a minimum of two connectors for each section and each support. The number and the type of connectors are determined in each particular case according to the horizontal stress to be transmitted.

BEHAVIOUR WITH THE SUPPORTING STRUGTURE:

The mixed construction offers a definite interest. This technique allows: Reducing the weight of framework Solutions by beam reconstituted more economically. An appreciable gain in height.

. . .

CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION
Pouring of the concrete is made according to the traditional methods, (Pumps, Tubes, Buckets of Concretes, ......etc.) The emptying of the buckets of concrete is made on the bearing elements of the structure.

FORMATION OF OPENINGS FOR DUCTS OR CHIMNEYS

The setting of the openings when prepared before pouring the concrete, can be produced by foam blocks or any other adequate mean. In such case the metal sheet will not be cut until the concrete is fully hardened.
For opening of small dimensions (up to 50x50cm), the bracing is made by fixing angle of 50 x 50 mm on the ribs and perpendicularly to this direction on both sides of the opening. ln the case of openings of bigger dimensions, it is necessary to provide at their level additional structure elements (joists).

FIXATION OF SUSPENDED CEILING

THE ALPHA 55 HB section can prepared with "windows" at the bottom waves, which allow, before pouring the concrete, to rapidly put in place hooking systems for the ceiling.

Windows:
Dimensions = 10 x 60mm

COMPOSITE STEEL BEAMS

The formation of composite steel beam is possible due to the development of techniques, by welding steel connectors through the steel decking sheets to the steel beams before pouring of the concrete slab.

This technique allows a rational extension ofthe formation of composite steel beams whiclr saves weight of steel structures.

STABILITY AT FIRE

a)

Stability at fire of maximum 30 minutes.

As long as the floor is constructed according to the technical instructions, with the presence of an anti-crack reinforcements lattice work, ALPHA 55 HB decking has a stability of 30 minules without particular ceiling rejnforcement or protection.

b)

Over 3O minutes

Fufther degree of fire resistance of the ALPHA 55 HB decking can be obtained by the following means: 1. Fixing a sub-ceiling conferring to the whole floor with a degree of fire resistance sufficient for expected use. (This should be according to the recommendation of international codes). 2. Providing for fire resjstant material (Link Paints) 3. Addjiional reinforcement incorporated in the concrete. These reinforcements are calculated in accordance with international codes.

CALCULATION NOTICE
The load tables were established according to the French standards

CONDITIONS AND LIMITS GRITERIA

Casting deflection < L/240 between supports or props (while taking inlo account the working conditions). Deflection taken under real exploitation over loads < L / 350 Security coefficient in relation to the floor decay 2.'l7$ = product of the average of Balance of permanent loads & exploitation overloads by 1.5

Coefficient of security in relation to the beginning of sliding: 1 .2 for the Ioads of "static type. Coefficient of security in relation to the beginning of sliding: 1 .5 for the loads of "dynamic" type.

DEAD WEIGHT OF TIIE FLOOR

The exact dead weight of the floor is calculated according to the following formula: For ALPHA 55 HB: DW = (H-3.5 + 0.7 f^1 2450 1oo

e'

DW:

Dead weight of the slab in daN / cm2

H: fg'

Height of the floor Deflection at mid-range in cm, under the effect of the concrete weigh, Calculated at the hypothesis of continuity absence while taking a constant concrete thickness equal to: H-3.5 cm for ALPHA 55 HB
