How to Please Our Father Father stated in Ezekiel 18:4, "all souls are mine.

" That includes your soul. God has the indisputable right to judge your soul. Some will receive rewards for their good works at judgment, and some will receive punishment for their evil works. Many today are successful and wise in the ways of the world; however, true wisdom, happiness and peace of mind belong only to those that humble themselves before God and understand His Word. I don't care how successful you are in this world; if you aren't happy, you are not very smart. True wisdom comes from God. True strength comes from God. Father has emotions. He is proud of His children, when they please Him. How do you please Father? II Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. You should note Paul wrote "as workers". He didn't write "as believers". Grace is a favor or a gift from God. Don't receive His gifts and use them in vain, or emptiness. II Corinthians 6:2 (For He saith, "I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee." behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Now is the day of salvation. The price has been paid in full. Salvation is available to those that believe and repent. The accepted time is when the Holy Spirit touches your heart and you become a Christian. II Corinthians 6:3-4 Giving no offense in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: (4) But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses. Utilize discernment and common sense so you do not become offensive and a stumbling block to others. Don't be a fair weather Christian. God does not like for His servants to run hot and cold. II Corinthians 6:5-6 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings: (6) By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned. Christians should not expect life to be abed of roses. Stripes and tumults should be expected. Unfeigned means not hidden. Let your love show. II Corinthians 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, What do you have in your hands, when you put on the armour of righteousness? In your right hand you have the sword, which is God's Word and in your left the shield of faith. II Corinthians 6:8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; You will receive both. It shouldn't matter. Stay focused on pleasing God. II Corinthians 6:9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; Christians are unknown by the world, and yet well known by God. The flesh dies, and yet our spiritual bodies live eternally. You will be chastened as you plant seeds, yet not killed. Should you give up when you are chastened? No, simply wait until the acceptable time. II Corinthians 6:10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. God owns everything. You may be penniless, but if you are working for Father, you may possess all things. II Corinthians 6:11-13 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. (12) Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. (13) Bow for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. "Our heart is enlarged" means we love you. Paul is saying that you can repay us by returning our love. Be sensitive to the feelings of those that love you. It is very easy to take that love for granted. You may expect more from those that love you. Why? They will stick by you, when the going gets tough. II Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? This verse does not mean Christians should have nothing to do with unbelievers. It means Christians should not allow themselves to become harnessed to the sins of unbelievers. II Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? What agreement does Christ have with Satan? What may a Christian learn from the babblings of someone that is ignorant of God's Word? II Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the Temple of God with idols? for ye are the Temple of the living God; as God hath said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be

My People." All souls belong to Father. II Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore "come out from among them, and be ye separate". saith the LORD, 'and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters," saith the LORD Almighty. "Touch not the unclean thing" refers to allowing your mind to be deceived. Do not allow yourself to become caught up in the traditions of men. Study God's Word, and understand His plan. This pleases Father very much. Let's go to the Old Testament and see what else pleases Father. Proverbs 3:1-2 My son, forget not my law; But let thine heart keep my commandments: (2) For length of days, and long life. And peace shall they add to thee. Do you have peace of mind or problems? When understood and followed, God's instructions fix problems. Proverbs 3:3-4 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee; Bind them about thy neck; Write them upon the table of thine heart: (4) So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. " Good understanding" might be better translated "good success". If you allow God's mercy and truth to be written on the table of your mind, good things are going to happen in your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge Him, And he shall direct thy paths. This is why some are happy and successful, and some are not. If you will trust in the lord and recognize Him, He will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:7-11 Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (8)It shall be heath to thy navel, And marrow to thy bones. (9) Honour the LORD with thy substance, And with the first fruits of all thine increase: (10) So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy presses shall burst out with new wine. (11) My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; Neither be weary of His correction: You had better thank Him for any chastening or correction He brings upon you. Proverbs 3:12-13 For whom the LORD loveth He correcteth, Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. (13) Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, And the man that getteth understanding. Why is he happy? He that finds God's wisdom and draws understanding from His Word is happy because he will be living in a peaceful home. He will have peace of mind. Proverbs 3:14-15 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver. And the gain thereof than fine gold. (15) She is more precious than rubies: And all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. There is no earthly wealth that compares to the blessings that come from wisdom and God. Let's skip to verse 19. Proverbs 3:19-20 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; By understanding hath He established the heavens. (20) By His knowledge the depths are broken up, And the clouds drop down the dew. The earth is perennial. She takes care of herself in a very natural way, regardless of how hard man tries to mess things up. It is the same with your soul. Regardless of how badly you mess up, God will take care of you. Proverbs 3:21-23 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: Keep sound wisdom and discretion: (22) So shall they be life unto thy soul, And grace to thy neck. (23) Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, And thy foot shall not stumble. Do you stumble from time to time? Listen to this. Proverbs 3:24-26 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: Yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. (25) Be not afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. (26) For the LORD shall be thy confidence, And shall keep thy foot from being taken. The Lord is your hope and no one will be able to make you stumble. If your mind is sealed with His Word., no one will be able to deceive you. Father blesses those that please Him. What are we supposed to be doing to please Him? Let's go to Matthew 24. Matthew 24:45 Who then is a fearful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? We are in the generation of the fig tree. This is the due season. We should be giving God's children the meat of His Word. Matthew 24:46-47 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. (47) Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. Those He finds giving meat in due season will be rulers over all His goods during the millennium. Matthew 24:48-49 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, "My lord delayeth his coming", (49) And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

Be careful not to offend Father by wondering whether He is coming. Separate yourself from the infidels. Matthew 24:50-51 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of. (51) And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The hypocrites are play actors. Those that are not giving the meat of God's Word in this season are playing church. Those that are giving meat are blessed. They are blessed with peace in their home and families. They are blessed with peace of mind. They are pleasing our Father. In His Service, Arnold Murray
