True Colours of Syed Ahmed Bukhari and Arundhati Roy Rajeshkumar Gambhava, 28 August 2011 Sunday, 28th August

2011 will go down the history of India as a historic and historical day. The present young generation of India has only read and heard about Gandhi, but today India saw a Modern Gandhi in the person of Anna Hazare, who ended his 12-day long hunger-strike. Shri Hazare has been leading a nation-wide campaign against corruption in India with support from his hard-working team. It is to be noted that Anna had started hunger strike since the morning of 16 August 2011. Anna Hazare (74) is a former army-man and fought a war against Pakistan in 1965. It is worth noting that India has seen unprecedented scams by Congress-led central government ministers and its allies. Fortunately, the common people of India who are always at the receiving end, found a leader in Anna Hazare. They saw a ray of hope in Anna and his team. The whole country has been agitating against the corrupt politicians and bureaucracy, and demanding a strong law which could uproot corruption from each and every level of government sections/offices. People of all classes, from all sections, from all religions, in every nook and corner of the country have been protesting against corrupt politicians and policies of the government. Meanwhile, on one hand, anti-India radical Arundhati Roy, in the lust for cheap publicity, made fun of Anna Hazares slogans like Vande Mataram (We bow to/worship our motherland) and Bharat Mata Ki Jay (Victory to Mother India) in her article published in The Hindu of 21st August, 2011. On the other hand, sensing that the Muslim-appeasing Congress-led central government is in danger of collapsing against the public anger, the very next day (on 22nd August 2011), Syed Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid of Delhi made a call to all the Muslims of India to steer clear of the INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION movement of Anna Hazare and his team on the ground that his war cry slogans like Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jay are against the injunctions of Islam. The Imam said that there is a stink of idol-worship in these slogans and Islam is against idol-worship. "Islam does not condone the worship of the nation or land. It does not even condone worship of the mother who nurtures a child in her womb. How can Muslims then join his stir with a war cry that is against the basic tenets of Islam? I have advised them to stay away," Bukhari told the Times of India. What makes Arundhati Roy and Syed Ahmed Bukhari wage their war against infidel and kafir Anna Hazares Movement against Corruption in India? The answer is simple: the duo is sworn and seasoned enemy of India, Bharat Mata and Vande Mataram. Any person who calls himself an Indian can easily understand what these two slogans mean to him. It is worth noting that Many Indian patriots (almost all of them Hindus) had kissed death smilingly, chanting these two slogans, in the Indian independence movement against the foreign yoke. The Congress Party has always appeased Muslims of India, made special laws for them, provided them special facilities not available to Hindus, considered them special citizens reducing Hindus to second or third class citizens, given them more than they demanded and ignored the infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims into India, all of this at the cost and taxmoney of majority Hindus so that its Muslim vote bank could be strong. The Congress Partys policy of Muslim appeasement has been in effect ever since Maulana Jawaharlal

Nehru, under a sinister plan, became the first Prime Minister of India after the so-called independence in 1947. This proves that for the Imam of Jama Masjid of Delhi, India is not his motherland and he places Islam above the country in which he was born and brought up and despite presently enjoying all the benefits and privileges conferred upon Muslims in India. However, there are still some courageous Muslims in India who openly supported Annas campaign, ignoring the Imams blah-blah. The shining examples are the Bollywood film actors like Amir Khan who came to the Ramlila Ground in Delhi to meet Anna Hazare in person in support of his movement, and a Muslim MLA who resigned as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Delhi State and openly supported Annas campaign against corruption. It is worth noting that the constitution of India recognises the Vande Mataram as the National Song of India. By exhorting the Muslims to believe that the Vande Mataram goes against the creed of Islam, Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid gave a war cry on religious grounds to all the Muslims not to join the majority non-Muslims of India in the fight against mammoth corruption. It seems that the Imam is behaving in the same manner as Mohammed Ali Jinnah or Suhrawardy did on the Direct Action Day organised by the Indian Muslim League in Calcutta in August 1946. The Imam even showed his idiocy by questioning the sources of funds the anti-corruption movement gets. Didnt he know that millions of common citizens of India were voluntarily donating their hard-earned money to support the movement? Why do you Mr. Bukhari keep mum about the enormous amounts of foreign funds pouring in India for the use of local Muslim terrorists? The whole of India, nay the whole world knows that all the anti-national Muslim terrorists of India rely on ISI of Pakistan and such agencies in Saudi Arabia for all their funding. In India there is no dearth of people like Bukhari and Roy who are bent on wiping out Hinduism with the tacit political approval of the pro-Muslim and anti-Hindu Congress Government of India. Fanatics like Bukhari and Roy are colluding, cooperating, conniving, contriving and collaborating with other anti-Hindu secular (in Indian context) forces with the sole aim of converting all the Hindus to their own cult through organized violence, force, fraud and deception. Arundhati Roy is an example of anti-Hindu secularist who has never hesitated to champion the cause of Islamic separatists working fulltime for making Kashmir a part of Pakistan or an Independent Country. In any other civilized country of the world which believes in its territorial integrity, a person like Arundhati Roy would have been dealt with properly under the law. It is for this reason that Pakistan recognizes her as a genuine reliable friend only because of her known anarchical and anti-Indian views on vital issues affecting the territorial integrity and unity of India. We should therefore not be surprised that a report on Arundhatis article in The Hindu was published in the Dawn newspaper (Pakistan). One wonders why Syed Ahmed Bukhari should have chosen to attack Anna Hazare on communal grounds viewing him as a kafir. By asking the Muslims of India to stay away from the nationwide India against Corruption movement of Anna Hazare on the ground that his followers are raising the patriotic slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai, this true Muslim has clearly given the message that he openly supports the Mission Corruption of Sonia Gandhi and her Congress Party. Through his venomous words, Mr Bukhari has also sown the seeds of complete disturbance of communal harmony in India. He can be prosecuted under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for deliberately wounding the religious, cultural and spiritual feelings, emotions, sentiments of the majority Hindus of India. One can easily understand why such a rabid and rabble-rousing

representative of Muslims of India was not arrested on charges of treason. As I mentioned earlier, he is talking like an anti-social and anti-India element when he attacks the Vande Mataram, the official National Song of India accepted by the Indian Constitution, as a Hindu Communal Song. In the eyes of corrupt, disloyal and secular politicians of India, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, enjoying fundamental Minority Rights specially granted by the Indian Government, is exempt from the provisions of the Indian Penal Code even if he insults the National Song of India - Vande Mataram, whereas patriotic Anna Hazare cannot even launch a peaceful and democratic agitation against the gargantuan corruption and scams taking place under the very nose of Muslim-appeasing Congress (Sonia) Government of India, which affects every citizen of India, whether Hindu or Muslim or Non-Muslims. Against this background, I would like to pose the following questions to the Indian State: Why do the Government of India and the National Minorities Commission not take suo moto notice of the criminal observations of Syed Ahmed Bukhari against Vande Mataram the Official National Song of India and issue a Notice to him to create a proper climate of trust among the non-Muslim Majorities of India? From this, it transpires that the supremely corrupt Congress-Government might have provoked the Muslim minority of India to dilute the nationwide movement against corruption by making personal communal attacks on him. Thank God that, despite the best attempts of the Congress Government to mislead the people of India, Anna Hazares Movement marched from strength to strength, involving millions and millions of people in India and abroad in his non-violent STRUGGLE AGAINST CORRUPTION. Eid Mubarak on Eid-ul-Fitr

Agniveer, August 31, 2011 http://satyagni.com/5227/eid-mubarak-on-eid-ul-fitr/

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Agniveer wishes a very happy and meaningful Eid Mubarak to all Muslim brothers and sisters. It is said that Satan remains tied up during the entire month of Ramadan when self-control and abstinence is observed. And Eid-ul-Fitr represents enlightenment received as a result of this selfcontrol. We shall not dwell into the historical interpretations of the festival and associated concepts. We shall instead attempt to assimilate the key essence behind. Almost all festivals celebrated across all societies have some historical significance. But what is more important is the lesson behind. Festivals symbolize certain aspects of goodness which we should always attempt to embrace from all humans and cultures. There is so much to learn from and teach each other! So the key essence of Eid-ul-Fitr is defeat of Satan and victory of goodness. Just like Vijayadashami. Now Satan is supposed to be have been a very capable follower of Allah. However when Allah asked him to bow to human, he arrogantly refused. This arrogance made him a villain. Satan is

supposed to misguide human beings and confuse them away from path of spiritualism and goodness. Satan may come in any form and try to confuse us. Eid-ul-fitr and this story of Satan in texts is supposed to guide us on how to identify the Satan and keep him away from us. 1. The month of Ramadan represents self-control. And hence we get a message that the best way to keep Satan away is self-control. Stay away from indulgence and Satan shall stay away. Observe Brahmacharya (non-sensuality), discipline in food and routine, pure thoughts and humility and thy shall have an armor to ward off the Satan. The Yoga Darshan derived from Vedas the original divine texts teach the same message of selfcontrol leading to ultimate bliss in greater details. And Eid-ul-Fitr/ Ramadan attempts to convey a simplistic version of the same. For those who have no access to original Vedic wisdom, Eid-ulFitr represents a commendable way to establish the basics. Its a different matter that over a period, like any other social custom, even this had its set of distortions and variations. But the essence remains establishment of noble Yogic principles of selfcontrol and benevolence. 2. As we already pointed out, Satan is one who refused to humbly bow to human. Note that Allah did not put any eligibility criteria to shortlist human for bowing. This clearly means that all humans regardless of their age, gender, belief system, race etc deserve our humble bow. And those who refuse to do so are actually Satans. Those people are Satanic who say that we should bow only to selected people who believe in certain set of beliefs or worship certain people.
The only criteria for being a true Muslim is unconditional bowing to all human beings. Those who refuse to do so are Satan plain and simple.

So the festival helps us identify the Satans among us so that we can stay away from them. 3. Bowing down has to happen not only in words but in action. So simply saying Namaste does not mean bowing. Bowing to human beings means:- caring for all human beings and considering all humans as one family - considering that all human beings, regardless of their beliefs, will have blessings of Allah - praying for Heaven (aka happiness) for all human beings - refusing to accept that only selected human beings will go to Heaven and non-believers will burn in Hell forever - refusing to treat so-called believers and non-believers differently - refusing to mingle with other human beings simply because they do not subscribe to our belief system - refusing to have any agenda of giving Dawah for our sweet behavior with others even if they do not share our beliefs. So far the other person also shares the same attitude of bowing to humans he or she is not a Satan and hence deserves our unconditional bow.

4. The only persons who do not deserve the bow, as per Islam and Eid-ul-Fitr, are those who put conditions on bowing. Thus all those who believe the following are Satans. Another word for them is Kafirs. The following are the Satans: - those who believe that even noble-intentioned non-believers will go to Hell - those who believe that one should treat believers and non-believers differently in personal, social or political matters - those who believe that blind belief in any set of customs is necessary to achieve blessings of Allah and hence Heaven - those who believe that those worshipping Allah in a different manner say through idols because of their simple-heartedness are worst of creatures - those who believe that apostates should be punished for being honest to their own conscience simply because we disagree with them - those who believe that we can preach our beliefs everywhere but must not allow others to propagate their beliefs in peaceful manner - those who believe that women are inferior to men - those who believe that one believer is equal to hundreds of non-believers - those who believe that destruction of Jews and dominance over India are necessary to signify opening of gates of Heaven for so-called believers - those who believe that only after recitation of Kalma can one become a Muslim So the likes of Osama bin Laden, Kasab, Zakir Naik, Israr Ahmad etc who clearly appeal for differential treatment on basis of unverifiable belief systems are the true Satans the real kafirs. 5. And all those people who humbly bow for service of entire humanity without any discrimination are the true worshippers of Allah, the true Momins, the true Muslims. Eid ul Fitr offers us an opportunity to showcase our thankfulness to all such true Muslims since inception of civilization and resolve to be such a Muslim ourselves. 6. So Agniveer humbly bows to the great Muslims till today who worked for humanity alone without any conditions. We specially bow to legendary Muslims of the Indian subcontinent for their contribution to entire humanity and we resolve to follow their noble examples. We bow to Muslim Rishis like Agni, Aditya, Vayu and Angira. We bow to legendary Muslims like Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar. Warrior Muslims like Ram and Krishna. Freedom fighter Muslims like Rana Pratap, Veer Shivaji, Guru Gobind Singh, Ashfaq, Bismil, Bhagat Singh, Azad, Netaji. Prophetic Muslims like Swami Dayanand. And thousands of other selfless worshippers of humanity the followers of Allahs order of unconditional bowing to humans. We also bow to historical Muslims across the world whose contributions have benefited the entire humanity Newton, Einstein, Faraday, Maxwell, Rutherford, Bohr, Landsteiner and hundreds other who shaped the modern world.

Almost all of the above mentioned people and so many others never recited any Kalma. In fact many of them were Jews! But still they were Muslims as per story of Satan and Eid-ul-Fitr. Because they selflessly served the entire humanity without any hatred, bias or arrogance. Those who refuse to regard them as the best of the Muslims are the ones who are real Satans or Kafirs. 7. Thus the festival teaches us that Islam is not a religion in reality. Islam means humility. Those who humbly bow to entire humanity without any preconditions are actually Muslims regardless of they being Hindu, Christian, Jewish, Shia, Sunni, Ahmadiya, Bohra or whatever else. Those who put preconditions that only Shia are Muslims, or only Wahabi are Muslims, or only who believe in some set of rituals and texts blindly alone are Muslims are actually Satans as per message of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr. We should stay away from Satan as per message of Eid. 8. Also note that Allah is formless. So He cannot come in human form to give you message. He thus communicates only through inner voice of logic, reason and pure feelings. Those who heed to this inner voice are Momins irrespective of they being Hindu, Christian, Shia, Jewish, Sunni, Qadiyani etc. And those who refuse to do so through blind belief are Satans. Now Allah gives us a natural message to love all. As children we never differentiate among humans. It is only later age blind belief without reason or rhyme that causes us to hate some and love others. We feel a natural urge to be friends with all. Those who deny this divine urge are Satans and those who follow the pure urge to consider entire humanity as one family are real Muslims. The festival gives us a message that we should never counter the inner voice because that is voice of Allah. We should never try to manipulate Allahs inspiration as per dictates of any human being who demands blind faith and not reason. Let us not think of doing to others what we do not want to be done to us. Eid is the festival to resolve to connect with this source of intelligence through Brahmacharya, purity and meditation as well as noble actions aimed at entire humanity and not to particular sects. This is the only way to ward off Satan. 9. Eid-ul-Fitr and story of Satan reemphasizes the Vedas. They indicate that Vedas are the original divine message. This is because it is EXACTLY the message of Vedas to bow to all humans unconditionally. The Vedic greeting for all human beings is Namaste I humbly bow to you. Vedas recommend Namaste for everyone including criminals. This is because it is Vedic belief that a person, howsomuch wretched, still has some positive qualities. He is nurtured by the Supreme Lord and to honor Him we should bow in respect. Note that bowing does not mean worship. It only implies an acknowledgement of grace of Supreme and resolve to work for its well-being. It is a daily duty of all humans, as per Vedic culture, to help and feed even the most wretched creatures. After all law of Karma can also bring us down to their levels if we become arrogant. This daily duty called Balivaishwadeva is a necessary component of Panchamahayajna the 5 great daily resolves of Arya or noble persons. Even before eating, a Vedic person is expected to pray for nourishment of all living beings in the world. It is interesting to note that, Namah (from which Namaste is derived) is the most frequently occurring word in Vedas. Thus humility and service of humanity form the bedrock of Vedas. It is from Namah that the word Namaz was formed which was later adopted by great Muhammad to mean worship of Supreme the best form of Namah.

So Eid-ul-Fitr teaches us humility and how the Islam of Eid-ul-Fitr is nothing but an attempt to provide a primer to Vedic wisdom. On occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, once again Agniveer humbly bows offers Namaste to all Muslims of the world regardless of they being Hindu, Christian, Shia, Sunni, Jewish, Qadiyani and wishes them Eid Mubarak. May we all work together for entire humanity without any artificial demarcations. May we regard entire humanity as one family and be able to ward of those Satans who want to divide us in name of religion, beliefs, books or symbols. May we listen to reason which is voice of Allah or else we will become Satans ourselves. O Allah! Grant us the humility to serve entire humanity, prayer to seek Heaven for all regardless of their personal beliefs, and strength to destroy the Satans who believe otherwise. May we all human beings congratulate each other Eid Mubarak as one single family that shall remain together in happiness, sorrow, heaven or hell! And may we celebrate this Eid Mubarak daily through practice of Vedic wisdom of Yoga that forms its foundation! Namaste!

Ghazni and Nehru

The plunder of Somnath by Mahmud Ghazni in 1030 AD is known across the country. But except for some interested scholars, few know what historian Muhammad Nazim had to say: The destruction of the temple of Somnath was looked upon as the crowning glory of lslam over idolatry, and Sultan Mahmud as the champion of the Faith, received the applause of all in the Muslim world. One poet outdid another in extolling the iconoclasm of Mahmud. Shykh Faridu'd Din Attar said that the Sultan preferred to be an idol breaker rather than an idol seller. While rejecting the offer of the Hindus to ransom the idol of Somnath with its weight in gold, Mahmud is supposed to have said 'l am afraid that on the Day of Judgement when all the idolaters are brought into the presence of Allah, he would say: bring Adhar and Mahmud together, one was the idol maker, the other idol seller'. Adhar or Ezra the uncle of Abraham, according to the Quran, made his living by carving idols. On the other hand, Jawaharlal Nehru, in a speech at Panjim, now Panaji, Goa in 163,observed that the conflicts with Islam in north India specially were not religious conflicts, but political conflicts of kings wanting to conquer India. Religious conflicts were hardly any and Islam also began to be accepted as a religion of India. The reference in the speech was a general one. Let us see what Nehru wrote specifically about Soranath. In his letter dated 1st June, 1932 to his daughter, he wrote: it was in Somnath that he got the most treasure. For this was one of the great temples, and the offerings of centuries had

accumulated there. It is said that thousands of people took refuge in the temple when Mahmud approached, in the hope that a miracle would happen and the god they worshipped would protect them. Butt miracles seldom occur, except in the imaginations of the faithful, and the temple was broken and looted by Mahmud and 50, 000 people perished, waiting for the miracle which didnot happen. In another letter dated 26th April 1932, Nehru wrote that you will find that after Islam began, for many hundred years Musalmans lived in all parts of India in per fect peace with their neighbours. They were welcomed when they came as traders and encouraged to settle down. In yet another letter dated 13th May, 1932, he observed that many of the temples. in the south even now seem to resemble citadels where people can defend themselves if attacked. By implication, he meant that they proved to be provocative to the invaders. In the understanding of the author and that of most Hindus, a temple is the residence of an avatuar of the paramatma and not merely a prayel hall like a mosque which jehadis with weapons are allowed to use. In the course of his writings, Nehru often quotes Al-Beruni. Let us see what this scholar had to say about Somnath: The linga he raised was the stone of Somnath, for soma means the moon and natha means master, so that the whole word means master of the moon. The image was destroyed by Prince Mahmud, may God be merciful to him! AH 496. He ordered the upper part to be broken and the remainder to be transported to his residence, Ghazni with all its coverings and trappings of gold, jewels, and embroidered garments. Part I of it has been thrown into the hippodrome of the town, together with the Cakrasvamin, an idol ofbronze, that had been brought from Taneshar. Another part of the idol from Somnath lies before the door of the mosque of Ghazni, on which people rub their feet to clean them from dirt and wet. The works and views of Prof. Nazim as well as those of Al-Beruni leave no doubt that Mahmud Ghazni was driven by religious fanaticism. That greed and cruelty were only accompanying motives. Why should Nehru, a Hindu and a Brahmin to boot, conceal the fanaticism of an invader, whose own people like these scholars are candid in their praise of the desecration in the cause of Allah? Surely Nehru's contention was anti-Hindu. The uncanny paradox was also carried into Mathura. Although this city of Shri Krishna was devastated earlier in 1017, Nehru deals with it later than Somnath in the same letter to his daughter of 1st June, 1932. But first let us see what Growse had to say: In the middle of the city was a temple, larger and finer than the rest, to which neither painting nor description could do justice. Mahmud Ghazni had confirmed this view in anticipation 850 years earlier. Growse quoted Mahmud as writing ,1 any one wished to construct a building equal to it, he would notbe able to do so without expending a hundred million dinars, and the work would occupy two hundred years, even though the most able and experienced workmen were employed. The city was given up to plunder for twenty days. Among the spoils are said to have been five great idols of pure gold with eyes of rubies and adornments of other precious stones, together with a vast number of smaller silver images, which, when broken up, formed a load for more than hundred camels. The total value of the spoils has been estimated at three million rupees; while the number of Hindus carried away into captivity exceeded 5,000. Inspite of this adoration, Mahmud ordered that all temples should be burnt with naptha and fire and levelled with the ground, wrote Growse. The contradiction may be explained by Mahmud's piety or fanaticism. Allah was above all love and beauty. And he had to be served by destroying all and any idols or their temples. For there was only one God, and no idol or temple should be there to divert any worshipper's devotion.

Now let us go to Nehru and his letter of Ist June, where he briefly writes about the city of Sri Krishna: Of Mathura, Mahmud has given us a glimpse, which shows us what a great city it was. Writing to his Governor at Ghazni, Mahmud says: There are here (at Mathura) a thousand edifices as firm as the faith of the faithful; nor is it likely that this city has attained its present condition but at the expense of many millions of dinars, nor could such another be constructed under a period 200 years. This description of Mathura by Mahmud we read in an account given by Firdausi. Firdausi was a great Persian poet who lived in Mahmud's time. Can any Hindu, least of all Jawaharlal Nehru, be more flippant about one of the holiest places which was treated in the unholiest of ways?
