Running head: GLOBALIZATION OF TODAY

Abstract In this assignment, there will be talk about Globalization, and how it affects the American people. This assignment will address how the illegal immigrants will come here for a period of 5 years, without paying any taxes. In this assignment, it will cover the positive and negatives about Globalization. This assignment will go into detail about how this is affecting us. Then, we will go into this a little further to see if it is ethical or not. By the time this assignment; one can merely hope it will be the talk of all assignments, because this is a growing concern. If the American people dont react now; then the hope of Americans will be lost. The time is now.

Running head: GLOBALIZATION OF TODAY

Globalization of today The first thing, which will be discussed is the abuse that an immigrant faces, as we all know, immigrants migrate to the United States for a better way of life. Presumably, the immigrants are looking at the end of the tunnel on how they will be in the United States, and how much their lives will change. It is certain, we live in a high technological society, and the demands of a good job are out there, but, then again, these immigrants are not looking at this from an education stand point of view at first. Immigrants face challenges such as human trafficking in the means of a favor to get into the United States, not knowing, the consequences, or the laws that would be broken, even for one minute, they are breaking the law, because they do not know the laws in the United States. Back to discussing this first topic of discussion, as mentioned as part of the assimilation aspects of this assignment; there are people that are suffering from the repression of being enslaved as an immigrant trying to seek a better life. Being enslaved, one may ask, these immigrants take a risk when traveling in uncharted territory (Iskandar, A., Rustom, H., 2006). According to these authors listed as the tension between the rise ethnic conflict, with that, and the societal, and the disaggregation with the alliance building aspects and the Unitarian thought that would describe the incident (Iskandar, A., Rustom, H., 2006). Immigration for the last 5 years have been, were the immigrants would come to the United States to seek employment, but they would receive so much as far as them facing danger, or doing something unlawful, which would consist of them getting in trouble by the means of human trafficking (Lane, 2011). The female immigrants were to perform prostitution, and some were offered drugs. Knowingly, the immigrants will be subjected to anything, and up to such an unlawful act, which could result in their life. How can be so cruel to take advantage of something

like that? It is wrong for them to come over illegal is one thing, but to cause harm to an illegal immigrant, because they want to come over here is another situation. Where will this country be in the next several years? To answer this, we would have to look at it from everyones perspective in general. If the pattern continues we will be going down on a road to destruction, and this is not to say, they cannot be here. That is not the purpose of saying what was mentioned in the last sentence. In the next 20 years, if this is not addressed now, the act of drugs and crime will continue, the prostitution will continue, the possibility of the illegal immigrant getting killed by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Why do they come to the United States? Is there country that bad enough for them to seek refuge in another country? Could it be their economy is so bad for them to seek a better way of life? Why cant the illegal immigrants apply for their green card, upon their arrival in the United States. In the next 20 years, if our government cannot get control of the situation; the hope for the American way of life will not exist. Civilization will be lost if this situation is not under control; there could be ways to combat illegal immigration from crossing the border illegally. Another way to combat this is for them to go through customs to apply citizenship, because if they come over here, lets say for certain amounts of time, and then goes back, and then comes back to the United States, which it would not serve a purpose here. In reality, we will be right back where we started, and the growing problem will still exist (Lane, 2011).The globalization problem to this; it is a growing problem that the people who takes advantage of these illegal immigrants would be accounted for sweatshops, which these immigrants are used for profit, and some of them are forced to seek marriage to the person who is bringing the across the border (Jones, L., Engstrom, D.W., Hilliard, T., Diaz, M., 2007). If other countries, can implement the same thing, we can eliminate the growing concern in globalization, which the immigrant will be subjected to drugs and crime, which will hurt the

immigrant to a point, which would cost them their life (Jones, L., Engstrom, D.W., Hilliard, T., Diaz, M., 2007). The ethical concerns regarding globalization, immigration, assimilation is when these immigrants come over that wall; they will be subjected to scrutiny, which there needs to be more patrols and check points set up to prevent this from happening. The more that America, and other countries is on preventing illegal immigrants from being harmed, and coming into the country illegally, will help eliminate the possible need of crimes being committed. One of the problems we run into with global diversity is the problem with religion (United Nations, 2004). In closing, there are several positive and negatives about globalization, immigration, and assimilation. The repercussion from illegal immigration being subjected is nothing to be taken lightly, which it should be handed under extreme situations, because of the extent that can be put on the illegal immigrants. Perhaps, the global diversity as to why these immigrants come to this country could mean they are seeking refuge from an area, which they came from does not offer the stability they need to survive. How will be able to control something that has been happening for a long time? How does the future hold for every American? Is this considered to be their civil liberty to come to the United States, or they are here to drain the economy, and put the American worker out of a job?
