Applications on the prescribed forms are invited for enrolment to Ph. D Programme (other than M.Phil) for the session 2011-12 in the following subjects: English, Buddhist Studies, Hindi, Commerce, Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM), Statistics, Geology, Computer Science & IT (MCA), Physics, Electronics, Geography, Chemistry, Economics, History, Political Science, Law, Botany, Zoology, Human Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Education. The availability of number of seats along-with specialization and other details can be obtained from the concerned Department. There shall be 8% reservation for SC/ST categories each. A candidate shall be eligible for enrolment to the Ph. D if he/she has obtained Masters Degree, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST Candidates), in the programme in which he/she desires to work for Ph.D. Every enrolled candidate (except with M.Phil/JRF (JRF in Projects with one year experience) or who have qualified NET/SET/College Teacher & the Statutory Officer of the University having minimum experience of five years) shall have to undergo Entrance Test. A candidate shall be required to obtain minimum 50% marks in the Entrance Test that shall be considered as the eligibility for further processing of the case of the candidate. The merit of the candidate shall be calculated on the basis of 50% weightage to the Entrance Test and 50% weightage to the Academic Merit of the candidates at the P.G. Level. The syllabus and details about the conduct of Entrance Test shall be provided by the HOD concerned.
