SCOPE This specification defines the minimum requirements for steel structure and wooden deck bridge. Bridges shall be 5.0 m wide. In order to accommodate small boat traffic which may traverse creeks over which bridges are constructed, it is necessary to design the structure accordingly. This shall be done by ensuring that there is a clear passage way of a minimum 5.0 m in width at the center of the creek which provides a minimum clearance of 2.0 m at high water level between the water and the underside of the bridge structure. This specification is general in nature. It is required that Contractor generate detailed specifications based on these documents plus drawings as required for construction.
