Farmers use water to cultivate their fields and to provide drinking water for their livestock. It is a precious natural resource and a source of energy. When it is converted into steam, it can be used to operate machines. Dams are built across rivers not only to generate hydroelectricity but also to create reservoirs where water is stored to provide for drinking and irrigation. Since water is so important, we should use it wisely and not waste it.
