Question 1 Members AC and CE of the frame each have a mass per unit length of 6 kg/m. Member BD has a mass per unit length of 8 kg/m. The frame is supported by a pin at A and a roller at E. For this frame: a) Locate the position (x, y) of the centre of gravity. b) Calculate the reactions at A and E. c) State whether member BD is a two-force member or a multi-force member, and explain your answer. Note: Neglect the size of the pins at the joints and the thickness of the members.
