SPECIALIST SERVICES Graduate Engineer Trainee Program 1. Objective: 1.1 Ensure steady availability of well trained Graduate Engineer Trainees for positions in the organization in the following departments viz Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Projects, Sales & Marketing, Materials & Procurement & QHSE. 1.2 1.3 Provide a robust frame work for succession planning. Training Duration and Salary: All Trainees would have to undergo rigorous training (Both induction/classroom & On the Job Training) for a period of one year (52 weeks). A salary of AED 6500/- per month will be paid to the

trainees during the training period.

2.2

Training Plan: A brief training plan (52 weeks) for Trainees is as follows: Module A ---- 4 weeks of Corporate Induction Module B --- 4 weeks of Sales Induction (Mandatory for all trainees) Module C ---- 6 weeks of Shop Floor Induction (Mandatory for all trainees) Module D ---- 6 weeks of Functional Induction Module E --- 6 weeks of Cross Functional Induction Module F --- 26 weeks of On the Job Training (OJT)

Illustrated Training Plan for a Graduate Engineer Trainee: Module A --Corporate Induction Sales Induction Market visits Shop Floor Induction Engineering Process group HR Materials

Allocation of project assignment: Each Trainee would be responsible to undertake projects during Modules C, D, E and F. Trainer would assign each Trainee project (s) assignment in consultation with Business / Functional Head. The project(s) would be strictly functional and have relevance to the business needs. Allocation of Mentor: Each Management Committee member would be assigned a Trainee(s) to provide guidance and support to ensure effective induction into the Company. The Management Committee member would also endeavor for personal supervision of the progress made on the assigned project(s) to the Trainee. At the end of 6 months training, Graduate Engineer trainees would be placed for on the job training (OJT) in any of the departments mentioned at 1.1 above based on availability of openings, interest of trainee and results of the evaluation. This decision will be finalized based on an interview with a panel comprising of Operations Manager, HR Manager & Trainer.

Training Evaluation

During the training period the Trainees learning / performance would be assessed on their project report / OJT. The projects would have a weighted index as per the following distribution: Module C: 20 % Module D: 20 % Module E: 20 % Module F: 40 % 2.3 Deployment: After the successful completion of training and the performance during the training period, the Trainees would be deployed in various functions as mentioned in 1.1.

After the successful completion of training of 52 weeks, Trainees would be placed as Junior Project Engineer or equivalent in company job Grade 6 with revised fixed cash compensation of AED 7500/- per month. In addition, the trainee would be eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Program as applicable to the other employees in their Grade.
