CBCP Year of the Youth Summer Sports Festival April 10-15, 2011 San Roque Manday Basketball Court

General Objective: To celebrate the Year of the Youth through sports. Specific Objectives: To develop friendship, teamwork and camaraderie among the Catholic Youth of San Roque Manday Chapel To enhance youths talents, skills, and abilities in sports To practice the virtue of honesty in sports General Guidelines 1. The games to be played are as follows: a. Major Games / Contest i. Baskteball men ii. Volleyball men and women b. Minor games i. Badminton men and women, single/double ii. Table Tennis iii. Dart iv. Chess c. Presentation Night (Awarding Night) Singing Contest Mr. & Ms. San Roque Summer Sports Fest 2011 -Modern Dance Contest 2. All participants of the Summer Sports Festival should be baptized Catholics, between 13-25 years old, residents of their respective block and single (no marital responsibility). Failure to follow any of the criteria is ground for disqualification of the team to play in any other games. 3. All players must be officially endorsed by the block leaders. Only the players endorsed but the leaders can play. There is no imported players from any other places. 4. Players must not be under the influence of liquor and other prohibited drugs. 5. Petitions or protests are accepted 10 minutes before the game. 6. Submission of the official players in on April 3, 2011, (Sunday). The names of the players shall be posted on the bulletin board for bans. There is no more replacement of the players after the submission. Unless, the player/s is/are petitioned. 7. Players must wear their uniform (jersey, t-shirt, sports shorts) during the game so that they can be easily identified. Players must also wear sports shoes to avoid untoward incident during the game. No denim shorts are allowed. Players must wear their respective color so that they can be easily recognized. 8. Contender teams shall be announced three times. Failure to report to the management after the third call means default. 9. Only the captain ball, coach, and block leaders can file petition or protest. 10. All games are point system, This shall be the basis for the over-all result. Prizes are to be awarded to the winners. a. Major Games/contest i. 1st 100 points nd ii. 2 80 points iii. Participation 20 points b. Minor Games i. 1st 50 points ii. 2nd 30 points iii. Participation 10 points 11. Single elimination and cross over will be followed. Draw lots shall be observed to determine what bracket a team belongs and who will be their contender.

12. An individual player can only play one major ballgame and one minor game at a time to give other players chance to play. 13. Players must provide their own sports facilities except major events. 14. Every team shall provide referees for basketball and volleyball. They will be asked to help as referees to other games. 15. Referees decisions are deemed final. 16. All games are to be played at San Roque Basketball Court. 17. These guidelines must be imposed and followed STRICTLY.
