Achievement
Potential victims are rescued by ATTF Prevent victims from china side not to be re-victimize Improved collaboration and cooperation between China and Myanmar law enforcement Arrested not only to Myanmar traffickers but also to Chinese traffickers Legal migration rate is increased Trafficked victims rate (G to G) is decreased Community and migrants have the capacity to report about human trafficking suspection cases More safe for migrants workers who have temporary passport

Myanmar is as a source country and gives priority on Prevention of Trafficking in Persons. Before signing MoU between Myanmar and China in cooperation to combat Trafficking in Persons , The 2 BLOs Offices has been initially established and cooperating between two countries and has got achievements alot. After establishing BLOs, from 2008 to 2010, 62 cases were exposed and (115) traffickers were arrested and (107=43+64) trafficking victims were rescued.

Signing MoU between Myanmar and Thailand. Action Plan has developed and implemented. The agreement to establish a mechanism in Border Cooperation on Anti-Trafficking in Persons-BCATIP) at

border towns of Myanmar and Thailand .


Myanmar-Thailand Senior Official Meeting which was held

on 3 May 2011 in Bangkok.


Myanmar is able to cooperate neighbouring countries such as China and Thailand in combating Trafficking in Persons effectively in the future.
