GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA/CDMA Wireless Access Device

The NOMUS Gateway Wiz is an economical Wireless Access Device that provides a 2-way data transmission over a public GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA or a CDMA cellular network. It supports a Serial data port or an optional Ethernet port. When equipped with a serial interface, NOMUS Gateway Wiz provides a transparent data channel over the wireless network for a wide variety of remote monitoring applications such as Metering Units, SCADA Systems, and Data Loggers, which require Asynchronous Serial Data access. When equipped with a Fast Ethernet Port NOMUS Gateway Wiz provides access to appliances such as Bank ATMs, POS terminals, etc. which require an Ethernet IP Data Access. The Gateway Wiz is available in a variety of flavors suitable for different applications. Gateway Wiz/G: GSM/GPRS, Class 10, Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz Gateway Wiz/E: GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Class 10, Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz Gateway Wiz/H: GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA, with 3G support @ 2100 MHz. Gateway Wiz/C: CDMA 1xRTT, Dual Band 800/1900 MHz Gateway Wiz/V: CDMA EV-DO, Dual Band 800/1900 MHz Whether equipped with a serial port or Ethernet port, the Gateway Wiz supports PPP negotiation with Static & Dynamic IP Address and PAP/CHAP Authentication. A built-in TCP/IP stack is provided with Extended AT commands for Dialing & Configuration. It supports SMS in both text & PDU modes. For the Gateway Wiz with an Ethernet Port, Management is through a Serial Port. It features Address translation between the Public IP address provided by the ISP and a Private IP address assigned to the Ethernet IP device. ICMP Ping is provided for diagnosis from the LAN Interface.
