Nu Flow Succeeds Where Alternatives Fail

Nu Flow has retrofitted a roof drain system accomplishing what other technologies failed to do, proving once again that Nu Flow is the most reliable option for in-building trenchless pipe rehabilitation. St. Bartholomews Church, a landmark cathedral in New York City, was plagued with water damage from partially disintegrated roof drain lines that ran throughout the structure of the building. During rain storms, water from the damaged pipes was literally running down the stairs inside parts of the church. Nu Flows vertical drain lining technology saved the customer and rehabilitated their pipes to proper working condition. Project: Rehabilitate failing roof drains using Nu Flows cure-inplace structural liner. Customer and Site: St. Bartholomews Church, an historic cathedral in Manhattan, New York, founded in 1835 as part of the Evangelical movement in the Episcopal Church. System: 175-year-old multi-level roof drains embedded in the cathedral walls behind two feet of brick work as well as on the exterior of the building over 100 feet above street level. The system entails over 50 drains reaching various roof levels up to the dome of the church and including multiple bends and balcony tie-ins. Individual drain pipes range in length from 30 to over 100 feet. Situation: Failing drain lines had caused extensive water damage in the historic church. Another contractor had attempted to rehabilitate the drain lines with an inversion lining system that collapsed in the pipe and blocked the line entirely. With no other option, they had to cut into the brick work of the building to reroute the water flow around the failed repair. Solution: The church selected Nu Flow based on their experience and reputation with similar situations to stop the leaks and avoid further damage to the structure. Using the patented Nu Flow process, installers retrofitted the the drain lines in phases over a three year period to accommodate the customers budget. Each liner was pulled into place in over-lapping sections to prevent the weight of the liner from collapsing in on itself, avoiding the problem inversion solutions have in vertical pipes. Furthermore, the Nu Flow Pull-in-Place process eliminated the need for major destruction of the historic landmark. Vertical roof drain pipe systems are common in commercial, industrial and residential buildings. Whether you are experiencing problems now or are interested in preventing the inevitable failure of your plumbing system, Nu Flow is available to restore your peace of mind.

When you are working with a customer like St. Barts, customer service is key. Whether its doing the installs over time to meet budget issues, cleaning up the mess the guys before you left or working around church schedules, you have to put the customer first.
