At the completion of a unit, you will be obligated to write a unit‐ending exam. This
exam will be comprised of book material but will also include questions from any
labs completed during the unit. All tests will be comprised of at least 10%
homework material, so do your homework. At the half term and at end of term, you
will be obligated to write a midterm and final exam, respectively. These exams will
be comprised of at least 10% homework questions and 10% unit exam questions.
There are no make‐up exams for missed tests, unless with an acceptable excuse. (I
miss my mother is NOT an acceptable excuse.)
Labs/Projects
Labs and projects will be done throughout the year but only a select number will be
marked for grades.
Quizzes and Homework
You will have a quiz almost every week to review material covered up to that day,
including homework material. Homework is a necessary evil and I will be checking
it periodically. Homework must be completely finished or I will not mark it. There
are no make‐up quizzes or resubmissions of homework, unless with an acceptable
excuse. (Dog eating your homework is NOT an acceptable excuse.)
Notebook/Journal
Your notebook is yours and yours alone. However, I have to mark it so you need to
keep it organized and complete. Please do not write all over it and make it look like
a big pile of _______. As well, keep it in chronological order and in sections, as stated
above. Failure to do so will be 10% of your mark discarded frivolously.
