Supply Chain Excellence Overview

Overview While many supply chains now operate efficiently, few organisations truly realise their full potential. Often this is due to a lack of the appropriate alignment of strategic and operational objectives. Our goal is to bridge this gap then prioritise and implement sustainable performance improvements.
All supply chains have three key enablers - people, process and technology, however, only effective supply chains can optimise the balance of these enablers. Xelocity recognises this, combined with cross industry experience and a proven methodology, we can unlock the potential of supply chains.

Overview Supply Chain optimisation is among the top initiatives for businesses. Benchmarking shows Supply Chain costs are 3% - 6% (of turnover) lower for "best in class" vs. median companies. In todays competitive environment, it is recognised that continuous improvement is essential for businesses to thrive. Efficient, flexible and optimised Supply Chains assist the business to:

Maintain competitiveness. Adapt to changing market conditions. Maximise customer and shareholder value.

Purpose The purpose of a Supply Chain Maturity Assessment engagement is to determine how your Supply Chain is performing. We look at your current processes and practices and reveal:

How you compare to other companies in your industry. How you rate against recognised Supply Chain Management practices. Which processes are critical to your business. Which processes are underperforming.

A world-class supply chain provides extensive business benefits when aligned to Best Practice, Quality, Service and Cost, which drive increased customer and shareholder value. The Supply Chain Maturity Assessment

(SCMA) rapidly identifies the gaps within your current supply chain processes, compared to recognised process standards, and identifies opportunities for supply chain optimisation. To assess Supply Chains, Xelocity has developed a best practice assessment tool, capturing internationally recognised Supply Chain Management process standards.

Installation Requirements (Base System) The minimum installation requirements for the system are a 700 megahertz Pentium 4 processor running Windows XP or Windows 2000 with approximately 100 megabytes of free disk space and 256 megabytes of memory. For improved performance we recommend Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 Professional on 1.8 gigahertz or higher, running at least 512 megabytes of memory. Installation Requirements (Enterprise System) For workstations the same considerations as the base system apply. The enterprise database can be contained in a Microsoft SQL Server database (version 7 and above). Connections to the Enterprise database use ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) through native drivers or ODBC. The system has specifically been tested with Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL Server. Other databases will follow shortly. Development Language ProcessWizard has been written using Visual Basic for the framework and front-end navigation with some routines in C++ for added efficiency. Common third party libraries and controls have been included where appropriate.
