All sub-contractors are responsible for investigating the project site(s) and review of all Contract Drawings and Specifications. Please fax a scope letter on company letterhead at least 72 hours prior to bid. If you are receiving this transmission, Barton Malow is anticipating a bid from your firm. If you are not intending to bid the above referenced project, please contact the undersigned.

Bidding Information All Bidders shall acknowledge all Addendum. Address all Bids to Bill Mellanby. Fax all Bids to 248-436-5767. Contact phone number for Bill Mellanby is 248-436-5766. Scope Specifics Review the Bid Form for all Unit Pricing and Alternate Pricing. Exclude all Owner Allowances. Include all permits as they apply to your trade. Contractor shall include all overtime/shift time and/or maintain enough manpower to comply with schedule and to make any critical connections/tie-ins necessary for the project to minimize the periods of shutdowns and reduce the interference with Owners operations. Bidders are responsible for complying with all Front End Specifications related to your trade including Division Zero and Division One. Contractor must visit the site and be familiar with site conditions prior to submitting bid. All bidders are required to comply with all OSHA confined space entry requirements and shall include as required all costs/permits associated with confined space entry if it applies to your work. Include all direct identifiable clean up cost and dumpster costs. Haul loose materials in trim, tight loads to prevent spillage. No accumulation of excess waste, rejected materials or debris shall be allowed on site. Include all barricades, signs, lights, and other protective devices.

Include reasonable measures to prevent unnecessary dust. Earth surfaces subject to dusting shall be kept moist with water or by application of chemical dust suppressant.

GENERALEARTHWORK Include all clearing and grubbing. Stockpile topsoil for re-use at project completion. 2. Include all soil erosion and sedimentation control. 3. Furnish, install, and maintain stone for lay-down areas and trailer city. Assume approximately 200,000 sf. Include restoration at project completion. 4. Include utility connections for Owner and General Contractor trailers. 5. Include all excavation and backfill required to furnish and install all site utilities to 5 outside of structures. Reference Drawing M-2000 that was reissued on 3/19/2007 prepared by Sigma for details. 6. Furnish and install water meter vault. 7. Furnish and install all manholes. 8. Furnish and install fire hydrants and PIV valves. Include thrust blocks as required. 9. Include all excavation and backfill for installation of natural gas line. Mechanical Subcontractor will make connection to existing gas service line and furnish and install the gas line piping. 10. Furnish and install all storm sewer lines and grated inlets. Reference Exhibit E for additional information. 11. Include excavation and backfill for installation of steel pipe bollards. 12. Furnish and install all engineered fill materials required for elevated Tipping floor and ramps. 13. Include excavation and backfill at Refuse Building. Include an add price to furnish and install earth-retention (water cut-off). Include removal of earth retention at after Refuse Building construction is complete. 14. Include all excavation and backfill, including hauling and legally disposing of excess materials at the following structures: Truck Bay Administration Building Boiler Area T/G Building APC Area Electrical Building Cooling Tower Foundation Chimney Foundation CEMS Building Residue Load-out Building Residue Electrical Building Belt Conveyor Foundations Carbon Silo Foundation Ammonia Storage Tank Lime Silo Diesel Oil Storage Tank Fire Water Storage Tank Fire Water Pump House Maintenance Building
