Manager of Business Applications (QM-PP) – Clark, NJ

This position is responsible for providing organizational development and Information Systems leadership.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide IS expertise to the Manufacturing Execution and Ensure
Quality Team during the deployment of the ISIS Solution in North America. This position also provides
direction and guidance to the Manufacturing Execution and Ensure Quality Level 1 Support team.
Responsibilities include:

• Development and leadership of the Manufacturing Execution and Ensure Quality application team
to ensure quality IS solutions are defined, developed and implemented. This may include
supervision of external resources as project needs and resource levels require. Team building,
career development, coaching and mentoring, and leadership in building strong IS team is a
critical function for this position.
• Developing and implementing integrated IS initiatives ranging from the deployment of new
applications to the maintenance of current applications.
• Vendor and tool selection, contract negotiation and contract management in accordance with
L’Oreal Group IS and business partner direction
• Collaboration with business and technical colleagues through the leadership of or participation in
project or process teams. Accountability for managing projects that are completed on time and
within budget.
• Assist with the preparation and subsequent tracking of annual capital and expense budgets as
related to the Execution and Ensure Quality application team
• The position is responsible for to optimize and guarantee the correct use of ISIS in accordance
with the L’Oreal Group best practices.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Experience: At least 7 years’ related work experience; including 5 years’ IS management


experience. Responsibility for project or process management required.
Experience in application deployment methodology and execution required.
.Net application development experience desirable.
Business Skills: SAP R/3 - Quality Management (QM), Production Planning (PP), Warehouse
Management (WM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM);
Experience with Apriso’s Flexnet application or similar application supporting
manufacturing execution functions including: Weighing, Processing, Packaging,

Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing organizational development and Information
Systems leadership. This position will provide IS expertise for the Purchasing, Accounting and controlling
functions during the deployment of the SAP in North America. This position also provides direction and
guidance to the Purchasing, Accounting and Control Level 1 Support team. Responsibilities include:

• Development and leadership of the Purchasing, Accounting and Control Team application team to
ensure quality IS solutions are defined, developed and implemented. This may include
supervision of external resources as project needs and resource levels require. Team building,
career development, coaching and mentoring, and leadership in building strong IS team is a
critical function for this position.

The initial role will be the IS Expert on the North American implementation team responsible for the
Purchasing, Accounting and Controlling functions. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in the fit-gap analysis of the Purchasing, Accounting and controlling domain.
• Assisting the team lead, and the Local Key User's in system implementation
• Identifying gaps in terms of configuration required for US, discuss and develop solutions along
with business users, Center of Competence and the Consultants assisting with the project.
• Designing SAP specific add-ons and conduct testing
• Assisting the business users and key end users so that they develop proficiency in using R3 in
terms of transactions, understanding the interaction and implications of their decisions
• Participating in integration testing by developing US specific test cases and actual testing of
system design and interfaces
• Participating in data migration and simulation testing by developing US specific test cases and
actual testing in the system
• Training and developing new project team resources in the Purchasing, Accounting and
Controlling domain:

Following the implementation phase, the primary role will shift to managing aspects of the application
support and development life cycle for on-going enhancements to the solution, including:
• Working with users to identify, analyze and solve any systems issues encountered with purchasing,
accounting and controlling functions
• Proactively identifying areas for business process improvement, and designing and establishing
effective business practices
• Working to ensure that solutions being delivered are integrated with and do not negatively impact
other functional areas
• Communicating with the North American users, project team and management on requirements,
business practices, project statuses and issues
• Developing procedures/processes and preparing job aids as appropriate
• Optimizing and guaranteeing the correct use of SAP in accordance with the L’Oreal Group best
practices.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Experience: At least 5 - 7 years’ related work experience; including 5 years’ IS management


experience. Responsibility for project or process management required.
Experience in application deployment methodology and execution required.

Business Skills: Experience in factory cost accounting, purchasing, standard costing, general
ledger and fixed asset and controlling within a manufacturing environment.
Extensive knowledge of SAP R/3 FI-CO, MM and BW modules. Good
understanding of manufacturing business processes and concepts.

Technical Skills: SAP Idocs, SAP XI, SAP Console, Adobe Forms Designer, System Integration,
Change Management, Application Delivery and Development Methodology

Packaging Manager – Central, NJ

L’OREAL has several positions at all managerial levels in packaging. The overall responsibilities include;
Identifying viable primary and secondary packaging options (and alternatives) for test. Provide expert
advice re technical feasibility and risks. Plan and submit prototype packaging for quality and compatibility
testing. Defining technical parameters with our suppliers according to L'Oreal standards. Interface with
plant TPD re secondary packaging, UP capability and Finished Goods Specifications. Create and maintain
component specifications. Interface with Manufacturing management and related functional areas.

Qualifications include BS degree in Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical) or related discipline. 2+ years


experience in package development, preferably in the cosmetics, consumer goods or a related field is an
advantage. (Experience requirement dependent on management level). Proven ability to handle multiple
projects of varying degrees of complexity. Proven ability to influence others to resolve problems, gain
resources, reach agreements. Good communication skills, to deal effectively with all levels of our
organization.
Packaging Development – New York, NY

L’OREAL has several positions in all management levels available in package development. Manage
package development and project management activities for L’OREAL to assure timely, innovative and
cost effective new product launches; promotions, and maintenance of basic business activities. Active
participation in identifying new and improved processes that will result in timing and cost reduction
programs for new or existing products. Responsibilities include; Research and develop packaging
