Profile:
Gavin D. J. Harper, is a sustainable technology advocate, based in the UK, working with a wide variety of organisa-
tions, companies and NGO’s to deliver information and awareness about cutting-edge alternative technologies which
can be used to bring the world forward into a sustainable future.
Gavin is pro-active about engaging young people in science, engineering and technology, and his published work re-
flects a desire to make these subjects accessible and interesting to a wide audience—taking cutting edge technolo-
gies “from the lab” and translating them to a form that can be replicated at home or school. Gavin is a “Science and
Engineering Ambassador” for the SETNET organisation.
Gavin’s current research focuses on Alternative Vehicles and Fuels, looking at the structure of the Fuel Cell Industry
through the lens of Michael Porter’s ‘Clustering’ theory.
