Education
Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ B.S. Biomedical Engineering Class of 2012 (Major) Psychology (Minor)

Relevant Courses
Systems & Devices Lab Thermodynamics & Transport System Physiology/Tissue Engineering Calculus I-IV Measurements Lab & Numerical Modeling Cardiovascular Engineering Organic/Chemistry & Physics (Labs) Intro molecular & cellular bioengineering

Course Projects: Transport: Oxygen transfer in diffusion limited hollow fiber bioartificial liver (BAL). Researched on the BAL device and how it relates to clinical trials including the pros & cons Numerical Modeling: Studied several old models of pharmacokinetic drug delivery in cancer and the optimization of chemotherapy. Created our own model of pharmacokinetic using the software MATLAB. Intro molecular and cellular bioengineering: research paper on existing ways to sequence the human genome through next generation sequencer technologies including applied Biosystems SOLiD (sequencing by oligonucleotide ligation and detection). Senior Design: Encapsulating Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) in an alginate polymer that has been magnetized with magnetic nanoparticles (MNP). Taking into account the capsule stiffness (mechanical properties) of MSC.

Research Experience
Research Department of Biomedical Engineering, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ Error! Bookmark not defined. Supervised by Dr. Craelius (April 2011-Present) Using the latest Microsoft software the Kinect (the BETA version) our lab is trying to create a program that recognizes hand gestures and related movements. Similar to what the XBOX 360 Kinect games incorporate. The goal is to help recover stroke patients mainly pianist and athletes.
