JAV Performance Engineers: The decision was taken by President & CEO to terminate the employment of Jon Caples with immediate effect. This was done in view of several problems/issues that have been raised after both of performance engineers (Jon and Taha) were asked to give lectures to JAV Pilots in order to evaluate their technical knowledge. Then most of the persons present were asked to give their opinion about the subject matter and the President & CEO has decided-after reviewing his CV that the transfer to another department is unsuitable as his qualifications are mainly in performance engineering. Additionally-another decision was made by President & CEO to look for another performance engineer as well as initially look for someone to be trained as performance engineer who will work with Taha as JAV cannot rely on one performance engineer in the future. 2. CARC Audit next week: IFS were audited yesterday by the Corporate Quality with the focus on the CARC findings last year which are considered closed. In addition all persons present were asked by the President & CEO to be ready for the next weeks audit. 3. Audit Findings of ENG & MNT Quality Assurance and Corporate Quality and any other technical issues related to aircraft ops: Trim Sheets and Technical Log Sheets filled in incorrectly. The proof was submitted to President & CEO of TLP irregularities as this issue seem to be chronic with the Flight Crews making so many mistakes when filling them out in terms of destinations, engine parameters, flight and block times-they appear to be signing it with the wrong information provided on them. The decision was made for the QA ENG & MNT, Corporate Quality and Fleet Managers to draft the letters together with the Legal Advisor for the violation letters resulting in 3 (three) days of salary deduction for each Technical Log Sheet that hasnt been filled out correctly. Safety Deposit Boxes (Safes) and Shredding Machines were not provided to the Technical Departments (Flight Operations, Training, Security, Safety and Engineering and Maintenance) in addition to the requirements for copying machines including printing and scanning. This issue is closed after VP Admin actioning the request sent by QA ENG & MNT. The exceeding of the Flight Crew Duty Time Limitations. This occurrence was found for the A320 Crew. The B737 and B727 Flight Crew hours were still not checked. Although some approvals were taken from CARC like giving the Flight Crew 4 days off-the following is the course of the action: To gather the evidence/exact occurrences all together and to review them against the approvals taken from CARC in addition to interviewing all concerned. Line Check Airmen issue for the Flight Crews for B767, B737 and A310. The documented proof will be checked on 05th March to ensure that as per CARC regulations there is a sufficient number of Line Check Airmen for different

fleets at JAV. As per VP Training if A310 will not be flying then the option is to send the Flight Crew for the Simulator training or to see the possibility if A310 can be utilised. Documentation especially in terms of Operations Manual Part A listing outdated position holders. The amendments to OM-A have been submitted to CARC yesterday. VP Corporate Safety will act as the chairmen of the Safety Committee for FLT OPS in case of the Safety officers absence. The President& CEO has instructed monthly safety meetings to be held within all departments at JAV. Those meetings must be properly recorded for evidence and future references. No Safety Training for the Flight Crew. Ditching and Evacuation training will be solved on the 05th March in addition to continuous safety awareness training for Airmen. Flight Safety Department needs to expand. Personnel with the focus on safety awareness will be employed and more working space will be given to Safety Department. VP Safety has already contacted EASA approved training facilities in order to accommodate the SMS, Quality and Human Factors (combined CRM for FLT and CAB Crew) needs. The decision was made by the President& CEO at our last meeting to have a monthly audit on all technical departments in the company. This audit is in addition to the regular audits performed by Corporate Quality and Quality Assurance ENG & MNT. The idea from the President & CEO is to almost divide it on the principle of different scales on which the maintenance checks are based (A-being the basic one to D being the comprehensive one). Corporate Quality have already started working towards that. Thrust Reverser Halves for the A310 and the frequency of changing them too often. The Director Quality Assurance ENG & MNT believes that this is a human error and the Quality Notice to Line Maintenance to follow the Aircraft Maintenance Manual for the A310 has already been issued. Deputy President & CEO will also look into this matter. Line Maintenance Mechanics and Engineers flying o/b our a/c must be properly trained and use their Aircraft Maintenance Manuals. Quality Assurance Department ENG & MNT still needs to send the job requirements needed for Line Quality Inspectors, QA Inspectors and Safety Manager to President & CEO. APSD needs to be EASA 147 certified. In order to do that we should get 147 qualified training instructors employed who can help with the Exposition that needs writing as one of the first things to be accomplished. Then the APSD can cover around 75 per cent of training that is required by Jordan Aviation. QA ENG & MNT will look into the possibility of Monarch training instructors which are being laid off. In addition VP Training is now also officially involved with the

APSD and so is Director QA ENG & MNT. President & CEO expects everyone involved to closely co-operate on the training and technical issues. 4. Secondment agreement for IRAQ Pilots: the 737 nominees i.e. 3 pilot secondments were discussed. It was decided for Capt. Pedro to become the B737 Fleet Manager and the proper hand over of duties will be ensured. 5. Syrian Agreement for A320: All arrangements need to be completed for the A320 departure to Syria on Tuesday including the Technical Library o/b, flight deck and crew scheduling. The A/C needs to be inspected every week to ensure its records are up to date. Deputy President & CEO shall send the required procedures to be followed to all concerned departments. 6. Productivity Plan for JAV Staff and 7. Quality Evaluation System -More emphasis will be given to all Safety and Quality Issues and any violation resulting from those will be reported to Legal for further action. 8. Safety Department: As already mentioned above Safety Department is to expand as more focus will be given to all safety issues. In addition the Safety Department will also re-audit the Flight Deck Training. Kind Regards, Vanja Buljina QA ENG & MNT
