Head Nurse EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Required Nurse with minimum (9) masteral units in Nursing ; at least (2) years

SUPERVISING NURSE EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Nursing, with at least 3 years experience as a Head Nurse POSITION TITLE: SUPERVISING NURSE Under Supervision, assumes responsibility in the management of nursing care and services in Special Areas Supervision of Patient care Checks the Head Nurses plans for Patient care and need of problems Check endorsement and makes patient rounds and sees to it that all patient in the ward get necessary care Reinforces health instruction given to patient and their families as the need arises Verifies implementation of requests of referrals to evaluate continuity of care Serves as consultant and adviser of Head Nurse in Developing, devising and adopting work techniques and methods for the solution of the problems related to patient care Interprets standard operating and new procedures and implement performance evaluation(every 6 months) and reviews work performance of personnel to determine if it conforms to recognized standards Plans the program and work of all nursing personnel of the unit Directs arrangement of schedule of work hours, off-duties, vacation leaves, etc. of all nursing person assigned to the unit Evaluates work accomplished by each nursing employer in the ward Prepares and plans for counseling of co-workers, this is done individually to personnel with problems example: Habitual absenteeism and alcoholism Renders harmonious relationship and self-discipline among nursing personnel under her supervision Determining the needs for supplies and equipment based upon past experience and future plans for patient care Making proper representation to the administration of the needs of the department Coordinating with the specialty department(maintenance and property) to meet the needs for supplies and equipment for the department Personnel Management Helps in providing and adequate and safe environment by guiding and helping Head Nurses in providing and maintaining a safe, orderly and clean environment for patient and personnel Helps in providing adequate supplies and equipment by:

CHIEF NURSE EDUCATION/TRAINING /EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Master Degree in Nursing with at least 5 years experience in Nursing supervisory or administrative position, Maximum Doctoral Degree POSITION TITLE: CHIEF NURSE DEFINITION: Chief Nurse is the executive head of the Nursing Service JOB SUMMARY: Under Direction Carries full administrative responsibility and authority for the entire nursing service of the Hospital, participates in formulating Hospital policies, in developing and evaluating programs and services. Assumes full authority and responsibility for development of nursing service policies; organizes, directs, coordinates, evaluates activities of the Nursing Service staff which allow for satisfaction and professional growth. Provides means and methods by which nursing personnel can interpret the goals and policies of the hospital and nursing service to the patient and to the public, initiates and directs studies, evaluates procedures for the improvement of nursing in relation to the total care of patients. Direct planning and implementation of staff development programs for different categories of nursing personnel. Direct nursing personnel in functions related to the clinical training program of nursing students and affiliates. Prepares with her supervisory staff budget proposal for the nursing personnel. Recruits and recommends personnel for appointment, promotion or dismissal depending on staffing needs of the services. Attends seminars and workshops as the need arises

STAFF NURSES EDCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCES/REQUIREMENTS: Registered Nurse with training in supervision and with at least one(1) year experience in the Staff Nurse position POSITION TITLE: Under Supervision, responsible for delivering nursing care to patient within an assigned area as: Receives endorsement and makes patient rounds Identifies the nursing needs and problems of patients Plans, implements

and evaluates nursing care Admits patients and orients with significant others on hospital policies and procedures Performs direct nursing care Assists patient in moving, while maintain body alignment and good body mechanics Monitor and records vital signs Observe medical asepsis Observes signs and symptoms, institutes remedial nursing action when appropriate and documents Makes necessary referrals to the physicians Observes and responds to patients holistic needs especially emotional and spiritual needs Acts a liaison between patients and hospital personnel Educates and interprets the patient and his family their roles in promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation Prepares patients for, and assists physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Carries out doctors written orders Performs specific nursing procedures such as IV insertion, irrigation, catheterization, wound care, enemas, etc. Observes the Ten (10) Rs in administering medications Discharge patients and gives health teachings with the significant others Performs post-mortem care Teaches and directs attendants and orderlies in the delivery of nursing care Acts as a senior nurse when so delegated Receives, endorses and maintains ward equipment and supplies Maintains harmonious and professional relationshoip with other hospital personnel Attends meetings and conferences Observes patients Bill of Rights
