y name is Sunghyun Sarah Lee. I'm a senior at an international school in Seoul. My favorite subjects are history, biology, and chemistry. I have a strong passion for scientific research and one day, I hope to use my skills to help people to ensure them a healthy condition. College Plans I want to attend a medium, or large university in America that has a strong biochemistry program. There, I would like to pursue my studies in the college of liberal arts and sciences and interact with a large group of people and professors. After the undergraduate program, I plan on attending a graduate school and specializing in a specific health-related field: either dentistry or pharmacology. Another option I'm considering is majoring in pre-dentistry so that I can take a shorter route to my future career. I'm also slightly interested in studying medical anthropology as the minor so, it'll be great if the college has the anthropology department. First Step I hope to gain my first experience by getting involved in research first. I would like to assist in dental researches and learn more about diseases related to dental health and developing technology and cures for such illnesses. Then, I want to work as an intern at a clinic so that I can observe dental surgical procedures and help to fix minor problems. Afterwards After I obtain the PhD after finishing the graduate program, I would like to work as a full-time dentist at a small clinic and assume more responsibilities so that I can now diagnose people. I also want to shadow the more experienced dentists at university hospitals and develop relationships with them in case I want to work at a bigger institution like university hospitals. 18 22 26 27 31 35 50

Peak of my career After having gained valuable experience, I would like to set up my own clinic and achieve stability. I would like to hire a couple of dentists and several nurses and create a dental group like the place I've worked at as a student intern. My ideal home would be in a rural area in Korea or America where people don't get access to good medical institutions due to regional distance. I want to make the optimum medical treatments and technology, at least those related to dentistry, available to people in all parts of the country. As of research, I would like to publish some of the research results that I've done in previous years in Journal of Dental Research and contribute in developing ways to ensure people's oral health.
