We the members of the PLANNING COMMITTEE of Group 127 and 128 of

Far Eastern University, Institute of Nursing are planning to have different health
programs that would focus on three different aspects namely: Man, Nature and
Health for the health promotion of different members of the community of Balubad I,
Silang, Cavite.

As nursing students, who believes on the right of every individual to receive

high-quality of health care, we tried to help in removing the barriers such as location,
culture and language that cause people from getting lack of medical attention. We
will try to help as we addressed their problem and tried to make an assessment from
it so that proper intervention will be implemented thus providing them a positive
changes. We will try to provide them an access to locally delivered treatments and
services that incorporate a real understanding of cultures and traditions of the people
we tried to serve. Our work is distinguished by an uncommon commitment to the
well-being of our customers and the communities they live in. Action is what it takes
to increase access to health care. That's why we're here to serve as the people’s
voice and medium for change, responding to the needs and systems that is
continually improving. We serve as their advocate for policy, ensuring its access to
health care to every resident of Balubad I, Silang, and Cavite. We're also a critics
when it comes to the barangays safety, thus, we ensure the community people
safety. We will try to fill the gap left by the previous health worker by stretching our
helping hands making it available to people who needs medical attention and health
facilities accessible to the residents. We are going to create an are which will make
herbal plants available to every residents of the barangay and we will try to conduct
street sweeping and garbage collection which will maintain cleanliness and will
preserve the beauty of the barangay.

Unlike a traditional health plans, we measure success by the health care that
we are capable of bringing back to our communities. As we continually reinvest it in
our medicinal garden and different cleaning programs. This will provide better care
to people of the barangay and at the same time will help us generate fund which is a
big help in the improvement of the health service delivery.

 We, the Planning Committee, were the one responsible in terms of planning
the activities in the whole community immersion. We are responsible of scheduling
activities making sure that it is organized and well plotted. Strict compliance of the
scheduled activities are what we are trying to practice and implement to the whole
group. As members of this team, we aim to help the different committee by giving a
just and fair in schedule for the implementation of their projects thus the community
will also benefit as our projects will try to bring changes in the system and
environment of the whole community.

Our proposed projects focused on three aspects namely: Man, Nature and
Health.

a. MAN
Two of our projects namely “ Linis Tingkad, Gandang Balubad” and “
Win-a- Load” focus on man’s benefit as it encourage unity among them by
means of cleaning the community together as they sweep the street of the
different Purok of their Baranggay. The Win-a-Load project will bring them
satisfaction as they won the prizes which they can use for texting does
encourage socialization and there will be a feeling of satisfaction as they
become aware that the proceeds of the tickets they bought will go to the
different projects that our group proposed.

b. NATURE
Our projects “ Salamin ng Katauhan ang Malinis na Kapaligiran” focus
on nature as it encourage maintenance of cleanliness of the whole barangay
by means of continuous street sweeping ang garbage collection. Through
this, the problem regarding garbage will be minimize thus possible risk for
different diseases can be prevented.

c. HEALTH
To help the community with some health issues, we proposed the
Medicinal Garden on which a certain lot will be planted with different kinds of
herbal plants, making it available to every people in the community. The aim
of this project is to give the community an alternative way in terms of
medication by giving them information about the different indication and
preparation of the herbal plants. The selection of the plants depends on their
indication. It should be indicated for the common diseases found in the
community.

“Salamin ng katauhan ang malinis na kapaligiran”
Objective:
To encourage the community people about the importance of proper garbage
disposal and keeping the surroundings clean, especially their own backyard
by means of disseminating information through pamphlets and serve as role
model as we as sweep the street together.
Duration:
This proposal will consist of two weeks of stay in Barangay Balubad I. Starting
on January 16, 2007 and January 30, 2007

All the community people in Barangay Balubad I
Background and Justification:
Proper garbage disposal and keeping the surrounding clean will provide the
community people a healthy environment. It is a project where in the
community people will be given a chance to take part in cleaning their
baranggay.

Expected Outcome:
This project will encourage the community people to be responsible in
cleaning their community as they work together in sweeping the street and

“Win a Load”
Objective:
To generate funds for the group which will be used to other project proposed.
The proceeds of this project will be used in buying materials for the other
projects of the group and the remaining balance will be used to help the other
community and to provide the CORE group a fund for them to keep and utilize
for the development of the barangay.
Duration:
This will start on January 16 and will end after the raffle draw which is on
January 31,2007..
Beneficiaries:
This project will benefits the whole community people as the proceeds of the
said project will be used in the implementation of the other projects of the
committee.
Background and Justification:
Since adequate funds is important in supporting our projects and projects of
the other committee, “Win a Load” is a good way to do. We can raise funds
easily since loads for cell phones are very in-demand and the materials
needed for the fulfilment of the said projects is not that expensive.

PROJECT TITLE

“ Pangarap agad maaabot dahil sa halamang gamot”

OBJECTIVE

To provide the community with an available medicinal plants which provide

alternative form of medication to diseases that is commonly found in the community.
The medicinal garden will provide the community people an herbal plany which is
cost effective and easy to prepare.

DURATION
This will consist of two weeks of stay in Barangay Balubad I. First week will be
intended for preparing the area by means of cultivation and putting a fence. Second
week will focus on planting and putting a signboard besides each plant with it’s name
written on it. The First week will start on January 25, 2007 which comprises the
cultivation and preparation of land. On February 2, 2007, herbal plants will be planted
and signboard will be placed.

BENEFICIARIES
All the community people of Barangay Balubad I.

Herbal medicines is a good alternative y since there is no available pharmacy

in Balubad I. Hence, giving them a choice of using a medication that is cost effective

 THE MEDICINAL GARDEN

Linis Tingkad Gandang Balubad

OBJECTIVE

To encourage the community people to work together in doing street

sweeping at least twice a month. Here, community people will be motivated by
means of giving recognition to those barangay who actively participate on the said
program for at least 6 months.

DURATION

The “ Linis Tingkad Gandang Balubad” Cleaning program will start on January
30, 2007 which aim is to gather people and start scheduling the program.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

There is no existing program in the community regarding cleaning program.

The committee decided to start the program which will be continued by the core
group with the help of the community people. Here, the CORE group together with
the community people will clean the surroundings by means of street sweeping and
proper garbage disposal. The activities will be done in every Purok of the barangay.
Recognition will be given to active participants for them to be motivated and continue
supporting the program.

The need for this project proposal is to encourage the community people’s
coordination and cooperation in the beautification of their Barangay. This will give
them a chance to have a get together which will serve as a form of team building,
leading to a harmonious relationship.
