Comparing Julius Caesar and Brutus, who would be a better leader? I believe Brutus would be a better leader. In Act 2, scene 1, Brutus is talking and he says, Rulers abuse their power when they separate it from compassion. To be honest, Ive never known Caesar to let his emotions get the better of his reason. But everyone knows that an ambitious young man uses humility to advance himself, but when he reaches the top, he turns his back on his supporters and reaches for the skies while scorning those who helped him get where he is. So I believe that if Julius Caesar finally accepted the crown, he would abuse his power. He would realize that he was the king and he could do whatever he wanted. He could rule Rome with unfairness and selfishness. Julius Caesar also has many weaknesses. In Act 2, scene 2, Decius is sent by the conspirators to persuade Caesar to come to the Capitol today. Decius says, This dream has been interpreted all wrong. It was a good and lucky vision. Your statue spouting blood through many holes, in which many smiling Romans bathed, means that youll provide great Rome with sustaining blood, and that great men will strive to get some token of approval from your holy blood. when you hear the rest of what I have to say. The senate has decided to give mighty Caesar a crown today. As Decius is talking to Caesar, Caesar is slowly persuaded. The king of Rome should not be easily persuaded. The king should be able to stand firm in what he believes in, and he should not be persuaded by simple servants. Eventually, Caesar is persuaded by Decius, he ignores his wifes pleas, and he decides to go to the Capitol and talk to the senate. After Brutus and all the other conspirators murder Caesar, Antony immediately respects Brutus, in return for not being killed also. Antony says to Brutus, Brutus is noble, wise, brave, and honest. Caesar was mighty, bold, royal, and loving. Antony loves Brutus and honors him. Antony feared Caesar, honored him, and loved him. If Brutus will swear that Antony may come to him safely and be convinced that Caesar deserved to be killed, Mark Antony will love dead Caesar not nearly as much as living Brutus, and with true faith hell follow the destiny and affairs of noble Brutus through the difficulties of this unprecedented state of affairs. people, and the people listen because they are afraid of their mighty rulers. In my opinion, there could also be many good leaders in any high school. I think that the teens with good grades, who are influential to the other students, would make good leaders in the future. The President of the United States is also a very good leader. Many people hate him and many people love him, but because he is the leader of our entire country, he should still be highly respected. I am for Obama, and in my opinion, I think he is an excellent leader, no matter what other people say. This type of leader, who people support and respect, is the best kind of person to lead a country. These are the kinds of people who should someday be a leader for the world. In this way, I still believe that Brutus would be a better leader for Rome than Caesar. A leader deserves respect and honor, and this is exactly what Brutus received.
