CHAPTER 3 METHODOLOGY OF RESAERCH This chapter presents the methodology of the proposed system.

It contains the research design and instruments, respondents, sampling techniques and procedures, administration of instruments, as well as the statistical treatment of data. 3.1 Research Design The experimental method of research was used for this study. To define the experimental type of research. It is said that the experimental method of research is used to study the effect of factors on the response variable of a system study. Moreover, the experimental type of research is a problem-solving approach that the study is described in the future on that will be when certain variable are carefully controlled or manipulated. The aim of the experimental research is to predict and determine the causes of a phenomenon. This kind of research is important to society, for many experiments have made the world better place to live. 3.1.1 Experimental Method In this study, the proponents used this kind of research to identify and test the applicability and significance of implementing an Online Business licensing Permit for the Municipality of Villa de Bacolor. The aim of the study is to determine the role, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of using the proposed system. 3.1.2 Creative Research Method Creative research method refers to the situation which deals with the knowledge based on the ability of a person. The proponents used this method in designing the project. The proponents applied their creativity and originality in presenting and developing the system. 3.1.3 Library Research Method The proponents used this method in gathering valuable information that can be use for the development of the proposed study. They made researchers to different libraries of colleges/universities to gain information that are relevant to the study. The proponents utilized different printed materials such as unpublished thesis, dissertation, books, magazines, and encyclopedia that contributed a lot in the development of the study.

3.1.4 Internet Research Method The internet research method is the most easy and convenient way of research method, it is also a useful way f acquiring data. Everything that you need to know can be accessed easily using the internet. The proponents utilized this technology in gaining further information and help us acquiring related literature and studies. 3.2 Respondents In order to determine the applicability, usability, and effectiveness of the proposed system. Some of the employees of the Municipality of Villa de Bacolor and fifteen percent of the public acquiring legal document of the office were asked to participate as respondents. The total numbers of respondents were thirty (30), and the fifteen (15) public acquiring legal documents to the office serve as respondents. 3.3 Sampling Techniques and Procedure To achieve pertinent information certain criteria were imposed. The participants qualified for the sample must be employees of Villa de Bacolor and the public acquiring legal documents. The qualification ensured that the participants were on the scope of the proposed system, making the survey items easy for them to accomplish. The convenience sampling was used for the sample selection. The convenience sampling was used where in subjects are selected because of their convenient accessibility to the researcher. The subjects are chosen simply because they are the easiest to obtain for the study. The proponents used this kind of technique for easy, fast, and inexpensive and less troublesome data gathering. 3.4 Research Instruments The proponents have used questionnaire to gather data to obtain the necessary information that will be used to achieve a quality system. The questionnaire is administered for the existing and proposed system. The questionnaires have been very helpful to the researchers in knowing the verdict of the respondent to the existing system. 3.4.1 Questionnaires The survey questionnaires were used as the main data gathering instrument for this study. The proponents managed a set of questionnaires to review and access the proposed system. The questionnaires were created for the study which was given to the employees of Villa de Bacolor and the public acquiring legal documents, particularly on the

applicability, usability, effectiveness and advantages and disadvantages of the proposed system. In addition, this research instrument allowed the proponents to carry out the qualitative approach effectively with the use statistics for data processing. Interview was also used to acquire information needed to the development of the study. 3.5 Administration of Instrument The proponent wrote request letters to manage the questionnaires and interviews in order to gather pertinent information. 3.5.1 Interview An interview is used to gather pertinent information employed in a variety of thesis studies, case studies, and research context. It is also a conversation of two or more people where questions are asked by the interviewee. Moreover, interview is an action which helps interviewer to make hypothesis about the study being done. The proponents prepared an interview guide, which is an informal grouping of topics and questions that were asked in different ways. The interview guide helps the proponents to focus on the interview on the topics. 3.5.2 Documentary Analysis The proponents conducted a documentary analysis to achieve contextual understanding of the proposed system. Information to the proposed system were gathered from pervious researchers and studies conducted by different under graduate thesis. The proponents also made use of the internet to gather information of the public and private agencies that already implementing the same system to be considered for the design of the proposed system. 3.6 Statistical Treatment of Data After all the data from the proponents made questionnaires were collected the following statistical method was revised and reliable interpretation of data.
