1 Corinthians 2:9 -14 9 However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what

God has prepared for those who love him 10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the mans spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. Reflection: This passage is talking about being able to understand wisdom that comes from the Spirit. We will never understand what God has prepared for us, however through the Spirit we will be able to discern. We as human beings do not know the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We will only be able to accept the spiritual truths through the Spirit. Application: In order to receive wisdom from God, I must pray that the Spirit imparts that wisdom in us. I must specifically pray that God will allow speak to me through His word so that I will be able to take the knowledge and apply them to my daily life. I have never been extremely passionate about anything in my life. However, I want my passion to be God and to know everything about God. In order for that to occur, I must read the bible consistently and pray that my relationship with him grows even deeper 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. Reflection: This passage is revealing how important love is. God commands that we love one another so that everyone will know that we are his disciples. It is extremely important that non-believers see us as loving people and show Christ-like love towards them. Showing love is the most effective way of witnessing. Application: In order to show love towards others, I must pray that God imparts that love in me so that it will exude out of me. However, I must be willing to accept that love. I must use the love that God imparts in me and use it for his glory.
