AC CIRCUIT USING PSPICE Experiment no. ____ I. Objectives 1.

To reinforce the mathematical calculation by running a computer simulation on circuits involving alternating current analysis 2. To evaluate input impedance using Pspice or other computer simulations. II. Introduction The use of computer simulation greatly enhance the learning of circuit analysis and confirm manual solution is done correctly. III. Tools and Equipment (1) PC with Orcad Capture IV. Procedure 1. Open PSpice and input the circuit file as given on Figure 1 together with its circuit. The circuit file is easy enough to implement than drawing schematic using Workbench or Capture.

Take notice with the following parameters regarding AC: I(R) = magnitude of the current through R. IM(R) = magnitude of the current through R. IR(R) = real component of the current through R. II(R) = imaginary component of the current through R. IP(R) = phase angle in degrees of the current through R. V(2) = magnitude of the voltage (between node 2 and 0 respectively) VM(2) = magnitude of the voltage. VR(2) = real component of the voltage. VI(2) = imaginary component of the voltage. VP(2) = phase angle in degrees of the voltage.
