Sh. Zhid Farooque Vs. S.E. MEPCO Sahiwala & others.

In compliance with the orders of the Hon’ble Lahore High Court,

Multan Bench, Multan dated 19.4.2001 in the Writ Petition cited as
subject, undersigned has entertained and heard the petitioner and the
detection bill has also been decided as under: -
1. That entire matter was discussed with the petitioner in the light of
report of M & T formation, ground checking repot of the team
consisting upon the O/C Army X.E.N., Circle Manager (M & T)
etc. and wheat quota released by the Food Department to the Flour
Mill of petitioner as well as neighbouring Floor Mills,
Consumption/Load Factor of neighbouring Floor Mill and
surrounding Ice Factories. Further a Committee was constituted to
probe into the matter regarding the detection bill assessed by the
X.E.N. (E) Pakpattan and submit report along-with
recommendation/assessment of detected bill on merit according to
the facts.
2. That through examination of record, reports and Consumption
Data, size of Floor Mill and Ice Factory of petitioner and
comparison with neighbouring Floor Mill and surrounding Ice
Factories, the committee submitted a detailed comprehensive
report (copy enclosed), recommending the assess detection bill for
the period from 8/1999 to 3/2001 (20 months) as under: -

3. The X.E.N. (E) MEPCO Pakpattan assessed the detection bill and
submitted to this office for approval as under: -

4. The undersigned in compliance with the orders of the Hon’ble

court, has decided to charge detection bill in the light of
 recommendations of the committee, giving relief to the consumer
