PREFACE
One can acquire knowledge by learning only in a classroom. But generally there is a significant deference between practical situation and theoretical knowledge. To bridge this gap, practical experience is required to be achieved to match theoretical knowledge. In order to achieve this goal BBA department of Darul Ihsan University-IBS, has taken up an effective step for the students, which is known as Internship Program. One of the most tried and proven methods of combating the short- comings in the experience in the internship program. It is the combined arrangement between the educational institution and business houses operating in the practical field. The prime objective of the internship program is to produce the learners with practical organizational environment so that, they can tune up themselves for the jobs in future and can get an opportunity to reconcile the theoretical knowledge with real life situation. For this reason internship program is an indispensable for the BBA program. As a BBA student of Finance Department, Darul Ihsan University-IBS. I was placed in the Mercantile Bank Ltd. (Kawran Bazar Branch). I decided to work on a report Performance Evaluation Of Mercantile Bank Ltd ; A special concentration on L/C operation. I have tried my best to make this report effective and realistic and my endeavor will be fruitful at that time if anybody is benefited from this report.
