FINAL REPORT ON EVALUATION METHODOLOGIES IN EUROPE

INVESLAN, as leader of the work package 2 Analysis of Evaluation Methodologies in Europe within the framework of the project led a research on evaluation methodologies in Europe that was carried out in partner countries during the months of MarchJuly 2011. A final report, consists of Austrian, Belgian, Czech, Greek, Spanish and Portuguese national case studies as well as good practices. Final report reveals very different national realities concerning the knowledge management and evaluation of the training implementation in SMEs. Knowledge management as management strategy is an identified necessity in SMEs, thought weakly implemented. A small enterprise is like a small boat that one must be able to handle very quickly, as stated by one of the interviewed managers. SMEs turn to be concentrated on their everyday problems of production, poor morale payments of costumers and widespread competition. As a result, we face a lack a lack of interest in long-term strategies of development in which staff training can play a significant role, as well as prevailing misconceptions about the knowledge management.
