DOCUMENT CREATION

To design and create a bio-data using Microsoft word.

PROCEDURE: 1. Start -> All programs -> Microsoft office -> Microsoft word. 2. To open a new document. File -> new. 3. Write your bio-data 4. Format the text using the following text formatting tools. 5. Select Bold -> to give bold format. 6. Select Italic to give italic format. 7. Select Underline to underline the piece of text which is selected. 8. Select Font name to change name of the font. 9. A -> to change the color of the text. 10. AA -> to highlight the text. 11. Select alignment to align the text. 12. Select Font Size to change the size of the font. 13. Use Word Art to change the art of the selected text. 14. To insert pictures. Insert -> pictures -> Form file. 15. To add clip art -> Tools are available at the bottom of the text area. 16. Auto shapes can also been drawn.

RESULT: Thus the bio-data is created using Microsoft word.

TEXT MANIPULATION

PROCEDURE: 1. Start->All programs->Microsoft Office ->Microsoft Word 2. Open a new document using File->Open 3. Format the text using text manipulation tools.

4. Phone Number and Email Id With Symbols Select Insert->Symbols. Select Wingdings under Font option.

Select symbol, click Insert. Select @ symbol under normal text, click Insert.

5. Page Number and Page Border Select Insert->Page Numbers. Click Format to Select Position, Alignment and format, Click Ok. Select Format->Borders And Shading Select Border Type, Click Ok.

6. Word Art and Clip Art In Menu bar, right click to select the drawing toolbar Select the Clip Art icon->Select a picture to insert the picture into the document. Select the Word Art Icon, to insert word art->Select wordart style. Enter the text, Click Ok.

7. Header and Footer Select View-> Header and Footer Type text in header and footer. Double click outside the header and footer area after typing.

8. Bullets and Numbering Select the list of text. Goto Insert->Bullets and Numbering. Select Bullet Type, Click Ok.

9. Pictures and Images

Goto Insert->Picture->From File Browse for the picture, Click Insert.

10. Justification

Select Text. Choose Ctrl+L or the Choose Ctrl+R or the Choose Ctrl+E or the Choose Ctrl+J or the icon for left alignment. icon for right alignment. icon for center alignment. icon for justified.

11. Check Spelling Errors Microsoft Word 2003 offers an automatic spell checking feature. Right click on squiggly underlined text, select a word from the list. Also a word can be added to dictionary.

12. Hyperlink Select the required text. Click the hyperlink icon from standard toolbar. Select the file for linking; the text will appear as blue color with an underline. Clicking the text and while holding the ctrl key will open the hyperlinked document.

13. Watermarking

Goto Format-> Background ->Printed Watermark. Select text as watermark. Enter the desired text, Click Ok.

14. Line Spacing

Select the text/paragraph. Click the line spacing icon , from toolbar.

Select the line spacing distance, Click Ok.

15. Paragraph Indent

Select the paragraph. Use ruler to indent the first line of paragraph. Use or respectively. from formatting toolbar to increase or decrease indent

RESULT: Thus the advertisement is created using above all text manipulators.

TABLE CREATION, FORMATTING AND CONVERSION

AIM:
To create time table using Microsoft word.

PROCEDURE:
1. Start -> All programs -> Microsoft word. 2. Table -> Insert -> Table. 3. Insert Table -> Table , Size -> select no of rows -> no of columns -> click ok. 4. To create merge or to merge the rows or columns -> select columns -> select merge. 5. To add more columns or rows -> Add columns or rows to the bottom or top or the left or the right. 6. To split the cells -> select cell -> split icon. 7. To delete rows or column, -> select the required row or column -> delete row / delete column. 8. To draw table border -> select table -> Border. 9. To select border style -> select border style. 10. To convert table to text -> Insert -> table to text. 11. To convert text to table -> Insert -> text to table.

RESULT:
Thus the table is created using Microsoft word.

SCIENTIFIC NOTATIONS

To insert symbols and to write formulae in Microsoft word.

PROCEDURE:
1. Click Start-> All programs -> Ms Word. 2. To insert symbols in document. 3. Click insert -> Objects -> Microsoft equation 3.0. 4. As symbol dialog box will appear on the screen. 5. Type the formula in the area displayed with the cursor in the screen. 6. Select required symbols from dialog box and type the formula.
