brief overview
our role;
• Design Architects
• Site Architects
• Interior Architects
• Interior Design
• PSDS Design Stage.
We were responsible for taking
the project through planning, fire
certification, tender documentation, on-
site supervision, contract administration,
design team co-ordination and all
final certification.
For our first waterfront regeneration development
we wanted to create a place with a real heart on
the South Bank - a place that lives and breathes 24
hours a day, 365 days a year.

OUR BRIEF
our approach
Access: Conservation:
Improving the permeability of the site was crucial Working closely with the local conservation officer
to its sustainability. A new pedestrian bridge we developed a strategy of conserve and adapt.
across the river linked the old town centre with Where possible the old buildings where retained
the new. A multi-storey car park with direct and integrated into the mall whilst providing
access via a new road bridge from the Dublin road tenants with every requirement necessary for
provided the ideal parking solution. efficient retailing. The striking contrast of the new
and the old is one the features of Scotch Hall.
Multi-Discipline:
Drawing on our expertise in Urban Planning,
Architecture, Interior Design, Project
Management and Branding we could effectively
and efficiently offer the client a one stop shop.
Co-ordination between the disciplines is crucial
on a project of this scale, and DW are uniquely
placed to offer this service.
The design team has made the most of Scotch Hall’s
waterfront location. A modern and contemporary
landmark in the form of an elegant new pedestrian
bridge over the River Boyne now links ‘the old’ with
‘the new’ shopping heart of Drogheda.
The focus of the bridge is a large wishbone painted steel
arch, sweeping elegantly from one side of the river to
