Its merely an idea which comes to express our more or less obscure aspirations towards the good, the beautiful and the ideal. First Sentence of every ParagraphA statement that gives opinion to topic of religion that I will later discuss in the paper and/ or present paragraph that really hooks in the reader without dismissing my key idea and point of doing the topic of the paper. Introduction: -Give some background (teaser) to sociology of religion- Is it Controversial or Not? -Site a source but not too heavy with quoting author -Reinforce your opinion without blatantly stating I believe Emile Durkheim

Leverett 2 Body I -Give Background to Primitive Societies and their view on faith Do traditions wreak habits? Is there evidence of traditions in much religion today where theres an influence from the past? -Give examples and sources -Site appropriate sources in background -Why is this important to the paper? Provide a hook that gives a teaser to what you will talk about in the next paragraph. Body II, III -Talk about other religions and their personal stamp in the definition of a faith today. Hinduism with praying, Buddhists with worship, Christianity with praising? -Why is this important to the paper? -Give sources and appropriate info in background -Is there any evident pattern that you may see with other religions from past to today? Albert Einstein- All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling mans life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom. Body IV, V -How does this information tie together? -Give sources and background -Dont stray off! -Talk about the institution of religion and the ultimate purpose people strife for in converting to specific cultural faith

Leverett 3 Conclusion -Restate your thesis to reinforce your opinions for your paper -Dont just be repeating the introduction of your paperThink of different ways to say your ideas but having the same general concept? -End your paper with a statement that leaves your reader wondering or changing their initial view of your topic.
