StruConnect Connection Design The StruConnect moment connection design software has been incorporated into StruCad V13. StruConnect designs and models moment connections in accordance with BS5950 1:2000 & The SCI Green Book. AceCad always seeks to integrate with best of breed 3rd party products and actively develops proprietary advanced solutions such as StruConnect where our users tell us they have needs. Increased user integration and greater flexibility of output will result from this powerful new software addition. By connecting the detailer and structural design engineer, StruConnect will further maximise the scope of the StruCad Building Information Model.

StruConnect Design Interface New Model Setup Wizard You can now automatically input project information into the model based on user definable setups. This new function complements the existing features within StruCad which enable creation of various configurations to easily show phases, contract status or represent standards for each individual contract you work on.

Easy input of Angle Members It is now far easier to input Angle members when working with sloping planes such as may be found on Towers or Complex Structures. This all new function enables the user to rapidly define the plane of work and automatically position and orientate the members. As always with the detailer in mind, this new tool will yet further speed the detailing process. New Connection Wizard An all new Connection Wizard automatically applies connections to a selection of members using a simple predefined set of rules. These rules control which end type is applied to the member based on the properties and orientation of the members. No matter the size of the project, the connection wizard enables instant application of a series of repetitive connections over a range of members. This new wizard applies all the ends automatically, saving detailing time and therefore significantly increasing productivity. New Profile Creation Tool It is now even easier to create unique profiles using a brand new graphical interface. With the benefit of this new graphical interface complex shapes may be created from scratch simply and rapidly for instant modelling.

Cold Rolled Section Integration AceCad is constantly updating the range of automatic joint connection macros for cold rolled components within StruCad in line with the manufacturers ongoing product development, enabling users to easily select and construct the most current details within StruCad and then automatically output both accurate drawings and EDI data for seamless ordering and production. Structural Sections by the Hadley Group Major enhancements have been introduced to the Structural Sections, UltraZed and UltraBeam systems for StruCad V13. AceCad has been working closely with Structural Sections and further improvements are planned for 2008.

Metsec Plc - Voestalpine StruCad V13 sees substantial improvements to the Suite of Metsec Macros. This ranges from Connection Macro changes to New Cam Data and catalog changes.

Kingspan Metlcon StruCad V13 sees the introduction of the Kingspan 4th Generation MultiBeam & Multi Channel sections. This has required updates to various StruCad connections and the inclusion of additional sections and Cam Data. Intuitive Section Catalog Users can navigate directly to the current section increasing productivity whenever altering a section within a range. The HOME button will default directly to the front of the browser from wherever you are at the time.

Doors Openings Wizard This wizard enables users to insert Lorry/Truck & Personnel door openings rapidly and with accuracy. The user friendly interface increases the range of options available and improves detailing speed.

New Cut Editing Tools StruCad V13 incorporates new options to edit, move and copy cuts. When you select the cut that you wish to edit you are presented with several options to intuitively and flexibly edit the cut. This is designed to further speed and automate the detailing process.

Intuitive Shortening of Members Additional features have been added to enable intuitive shortening of members. This function enables improved work flow and speeds the detailing of complex members, joints and assemblies.

General Arrangement Drawing Enhancements General Arrangements now support the inclusion of Bolt & Hole graphics

Automatic Labelling of General Arrangement Drawings Users may now label information about a particular entity within the drawing by selecting the item. StruCad automatically selects the relevant details of the item for the label. i.e the user can now select a bolt group or endplate and label its mark, grade, size, diameter etc.

Rapid Drawing Border Configuration A new series of commands allow the graphical configuration of drawing borders or base drawing sheets from within the 2D drawing environment.

Automatic Editing of Drawings A brand new command enables the user to select and automatically bulk edit lines from drawings giving increased flexibility and adding significantly new functionality.

Drawing Conversion Enhancements StruCad V13 includes support for the conversion of drawings to AutoCad 2007/2008 formats for DXF & DWG in addition to the existing DXF, DWG and DWF supported formats. Automatic bulk output to Adobe PDF is also included with StruCad V13.

Latest DSTV standards for CNC and Scribing StruCad V13 includes all the very latest DSTV standards to ensure maximum CAM/CNC data compatibility with fabrication equipment.
