Letter of Recommendation I am glad to recommend Mr. Abhijeet Bhalerao for admission to the graduate program at your university. As the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, I can say that he is an extremely bright and passionate student. As his teacher, I have known him from his 1st year of engineering. I am glad to say that he was amongst the top rankers of his batch comprising of 80 students. Mr. S. A. Patil, my colleague, holds high praise for him for showing excellent competency in his Projects and Seminars. His academic credentials speak for themselves. Abhijeet entered this college with an excellent academic record and maintained it when he ranked 3rd in the first and second year and then went on to achieve the 1st spot in the university in the third and fourth year. His attentiveness in the class and his involvement in practical work were indicative of his abiding interest in this subject. He also enthusiastically organized MECHFEST 06 and MECHFEST 07, both national level robotic events, in addition to GLIMMER 07, a national level paper presentation competition. He also coordinated the college events relevant to Mechanical Engineering such as Contrivance, Robotics, paper presentation contests, etc. Apart from these activities Abhijeet captained and coached the Table Tennis team during the third and the final year for the Ashwamedh competition, and both the times we were Runner Up. He was the part of college cricket team, too. Due to his excellence in sports he was elected Sports Secretary in the final year. Abhijeet was recruited by 3 Multinational Companies in the final year. He showed his excellence during his academic project too in which his team won the Kandilkar Best Project Award. Apart from this his team also participated in Full Throttle Afterburn Competition in TECHFEST 07 and TECHFEST 08 with two different designs. In TECHFEST 08 his team was in the last 32 finalists in the 205 teams from all over the world. This was a first for our college. In his last two college years he worked with Ebiz.com. Private Ltd., a marketing firm as a Diplomat. He headed an organization of > 6000 people successfully. In October 2006 he was honored with Fastest Promoter in the World award. With his zeal to learn and to look for new horizons, Abhijeet will definitely benefit in your flexible system of education and will further enhance his skills and knowledge.
