Height programmable velocity stacks

This technology is derived directly from Formula 1 and Moto GP in two worlds where the pursuit of maximum power handling and engine management are pushed to the limits. This performance tuning accessory made specifically for the Ducati 1098 is one of the latest "Special Racing" products which has been built and designed by DM Meccanica. The velocity stacks are CNC machined from 7075 T6 aircraft quality aluminium. To further increase the fluency and the durability, all of the product parts have been oxidised to a thickness level of 40 microns. The movement is managed by 2 digital brushless motors which are guided by a programmable power module which is setup by computer using supplied software. With the power module it is possible to independently program the movement of the velocity stacks using parameters which can be set to either RPM or the percentage of the opening of the throttle.

Hard oxidised treated


A hard oxidisation thickness of 40 microns has been applied to increase the resistance and durability.

We use 7075-T6 aluminium to take advantage of it's low deformation and high resistance properties.

If you have an enlarged air box we also offer the possibility of fitting an injector holder which allows for an internal fuel passage; in this way the problem of redundant tubes can be removed. The injectors with the fuel passage can be ordered in either 2 or 4 injector versions and to the lengths that you require. All of these additional modifications allow the client the possibility to setup the engine so that it meets your own criteria and needs. DM Meccanica continues to research and develop innovative solutions and this specific project will allow you to push your own engine development and research to the highest levels.

Electric motors
We use 2 separate brushless motors to independently manage the 2 velocity stacks. The motors have a speed of 3m/min and a force of 9kg on 15mm.

It was therefore essential and required the collaboration of some of the most famous Ducati teams and setup technicians who have helped us to develop a velocity stack which increases performance on both standard factory and developed engines. As with any serious modification these velocity stacks are best exploited to their full potential when they are used together with a dedicated mapping which has been professionally prepared by an expert. The velocity stacks have been designed within our company and produced from aircraft quality 7075 T6 aluminium using some of the most modern CNC machinery available. They are fitted inside the air box using the standard fuel line and injectors. No modifications are necessary. For anyone who requires a more elaborate and extreme system, we can also produce the velocity stacks with larger diameters. The fitting is very simple however we recommend that you consult your mechanic or technician if you do not have sufficient mechanical experience.

Cone height: 70mm


With this height it will allow you to gain 3bhp from a factory fitted engine. The velocity stacks are fitted in the stock air box and no other modifications are required.

DUCATI 999/999RS

Conjunction collector

This collector is for anyone who wishes to install the throttle body of the Ducati 1098 or 1198 onto the engine of the 999 or 999RS. The unit has been CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminium. With this collector it is not necessary to use any adapters to unite the 2 parts together. It is fitted without any modifications to the head or to the collectors. It can be perfectly aligned with the standard ducts of the head which if not wide enough, the original can be removed and you can fit this unit using the original rubber collector of the 1098/1198.

Carbon Fibre or Fibre Glass enlarged air box

This is our new enlarged air box for the Ducati 848/EVO, 1098/R, 1198/R. The demand for this air box was born to satisfy our clients who requested more brake horse power from their motorcycles. The original factory fitted air box is dramatically under dimensioned in relation to the engine size of the motorcycle. The capacity of our air box has been calculated by carrying out a standard test which uses 3mm diameter plastic spheres. The original air box can filled to a volume weight of only 8.5 litres whilst in comparison our air box is able to hold 16.4 litres. If the same test is then repeated using tubes, the original air box is able to hold 10.6 litres whilst our enlarged air box is able to hold 20.2 litres. This is a difference of 48% extra volume. The end result therefore means you will have more power and an excellent throttle rate. The air box can be fitted on all factory bikes by simply removing and placing the liquid collection tray to the right side of the motorcycle. Everything else remains in the same place without any modification. To give you a better idea of the actual size of our air box, with the standard factory fitted unit the throttle body is normally fitted outside of the air box whilst with our unit, the throttle body can be placed inside. The air box can be ordered in either carbon fibre or fibre glass without any difference in size or dimension.

Rear suspension rocker arm

Like 90% of our products, this rear suspension rocker arm is also made from aircraft quality 7075 T6 aluminium. In this case the choice of alloy which is used throughout motorsport was mandatory to have a lightweight but at the same time strong and rigid accessory. Taking into account this accessory's actual function, this is a particular characteristic which should not be undervalued. This rocker arm is designed to make the work of the shock absorber more linear and has the characteristics which derive directly from the World SBK. By installing the rocker arm you will need to revise the height and the length of the suspension rod to bring everything back into balance for normal use.

RS wheelbase version
With this wheelbase it is possible to use different weighted springs to improve the effect of the shock absorber.

The threaded bushings are the same as the originals and are sold already assembled and it is therefore not necessary for any other modification or additional materials. For the tightening of the screws we advise that you consult the service manual or ask a mechanic. The fitting is not simple and we strongly recommend that that you consult your mechanic if you do not have sufficient mechanical experience.

MV Agusta

Enlarged water pump

This water pump has the purpose to increase the recirculation of coolant by 46% within the inside of the motorcycle. With the original water pump and below 4700 RPM, the pump has a very slow recirculation speed which is caused by the large gap between the rotor and the pump cover. The result of this is a huge inconvenience to the performance and comfort for anyone who uses their MV Agusta bike everyday or as a traditional Sunday Rider. For example during the summer you only need to be stuck in a traffic jam or to stop at a traffic light to cause the temperature to rise to 115-117 degrees. To then bring the temperature back down to 90 degrees requires several kilometres of sustained speed riding which above all is not always possible (especially in city conditions). Our enlarged water pump has been developed by our company with the help of several important teams who use the 312 RR in race conditions. It is possible to fit the pump on all MV Agusta motorcycles whether it be the Brutale or the F4. The unit is CNC Machined from 7075 T6 aluminium. All the normal fixings, bearings and the shaft can be purchased as original spare parts from any MV Agusta dealer and in this way you will have peace of mind that all of the parts which work with the engine are completely safe and compatible.

Fairing side panels with increased air flow

Fibre glass side panels for the MV AGusta constructed from fibre glass fabric and with reinforcements in all fixing points.

Entirely hand finished offering a considerable weight saving. In comparison to the standard fairing side panels, additional air flow vents have been added to allow a quicker air flow passage which in return will also lower the temperature of the coolant and the engine.

BMW 1150 - 1200

High compression pistons

These high performance pistons are made by the Italian race piston product sector leader from specially selected materials of the lightest alloy metals to ensure a minimum level of product expansion and a very high level of product reliability. The pistons have been produced so that no other modification is necessary and they retain the same low noise levels. The lower unit weight of these products allows for an exciting level of acceleration with greater compression which increases the pull in the lower revs by keeping them more even as you accelerate. The kit is supplied with all necessary fittings.

This treatment allows for reduced running time and an excellent flowing movement.

Exhaust collector

The exhaust collectors are the connecting element between the exhaust system to the engine which are first hit by the burnt gases from the combustion chamber. The gas inside the collectors is also working at both high speeds and temperatures. It is therefore logical and fundamentally important that the exhaust system is working correctly. The exhaust collectors improve the rapid flow of gas without any obstacles and handle the thermal and acoustic elements which the gases transmit. For these reasons we made the collectors with well tuned tapering conicity to achieve the desired effect. The collectors have been made using very resistant materials but also ensure a low weight which is required for this type of product.

Stainless steel
The collector has been made using stainless steel 310 with a thickness of 0,8mm.

All of the collector has been completely handmade using only the finest materials and soldering.

Exhaust collector with compensator

If you should have a multi cylinder four-stroke engine with the classic key ignition (not the big bang), it will equalize the pressure in the various collectors and compensators during the operation of the engine which if well positioned and are the right number, will ensure the absence of voids in the engine power curve. The collectors have been made using very resistant materials but also ensure a low weight which is required for this type of product.

The collector has been made using stainless steel 310 with a thickness of 0,8mm.

If you would like to leave the line of your motorcycle as close to the original as possible, we can propose this version of the collector with also a compensator.

BMW 1100 - 1150 - 1200

Power sprockets

These performance sprockets have been made to be fitted on all the BMW R series motorcycles (R1100/1150/1200) in production from 1995 to the present day. The sprockets are fitted in the same way as the original unit and are produced with extreme precision from very high quality materials. They are designed to give the most highly sold motorcycles in the world using a boxer engine an even better performance in the lower revs by lowering the torque by approximately 1000 rpm. These sprockets can also be used with engines using high performance pistons which we also include in our own BMW POWER KIT.

Modified timing
With the timing it is possible to lower the torque curve by approximately 1000 rpm.

The materials and the treatment of the metal have been studied to ensure a long product and usage life.

Enlarged water pump

This pump is designed to increase the recirculation of coolant by 46%. The original pump has a very low speed due to the excessive gap between the rotor and the pump cover which gives an unsatisfactory level of performance. Our pump has been designed to overcome this problem and has been developed with the help of various important clients. It is made completely CNC Machined from aircraft quality 7075-T6 aluminium. All the normal fixings, bearings and the shaft can be purchased as original spare parts from any Can Am dealer and this has been done to give the customer peace of mind that all of the parts which work internally with the engine are completely safe and compatible.

Honda CRF250 (2010/11)

Enlarged water pump

One of the major problems with this model of motorcycle is the excessive overheating of the engine. The consequences have been noted by everyone: overheating of all heated parts, excessive piston wear, problems with the dampers of the bucket valves and a drop in performance in race conditions. This pump is already used by numerous high profile teams in both European and World competitions. The unit has been CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and has been anodised to avoid the sticking of any external agents.

YAMAHA TMAX 500

Enlarged throttle body

As it is well known, the Tmax is the most modified scooter and we would like to add to it with this enlarged throttle body. The standard factory Tmax has a small throttle body of 31mm with a bore of 34mm. However with all the modifications which are applied, 34mm are no longer sufficient. After several requests by various Tmax preparers, we decided to make a product which would be without an equal: we developed a throttle body produced from a solid piece of 7075-T6 billet aluminium with a finish and attention to detail fit for any shop window!

Like the standard factory version


It allows you to monitor and manage the stepper motor just like the original.

Enlarged diameter
The enlarged diameter allows for a considerable increase in performance.

It is possible to request either 38mm or 40mm. The throttle body is supplied already assembled and ready for fitting. Once the original throttle body has been removed, it is necessary to remove the stepper motor, the throttle position sensor and the spool of the throttle cable. At this point all of these parts need to be fitted to our throttle body and you are then ready to begin. Since the bore diameter is larger, we also provide the collectors and all that you need for the fitting. As an optional we can also supply velocity stacks which can be fitted in place of the standard rubber tubes which go to the air box. As an additional extra we can also supply dedicated mapping which we have prepared on our own work bench. With this throttle body fitted to a standard stock vehicle you will be able to achieve better results both at full gas and with a greater pull in the lower ranges.

HONDA VTR SP1/SP2

Dry clutch modification kit

For this legendary bike there are already numerous modifications which are available. We believe we have done something a little bit different to the normal modification by developing a kit which will allow you to transform the factory fitted clutch (wet clutch) into a dry clutch. With this change and apart from turning the heads of everyone in the pit lane as to why this Honda is making a noise like it has never been heard before, it offers the advantage which all bikes with a dry clutch are able to boast; a lower oil temperature and an attack from the clutch which is precise and decisive.

Dry clutch
It is supplied either as a normal dry clutch or with an anti slipper system.

We recommend to fit a clutch which has an anti slipper system however on request it is also possible to fit a standard dry clutch. The kit is made up of: - a new drive gear - a new crankcase which can be swapped with the original stock unit - a longer pressure plate rod - various bushings for the fitting The drive gear is made from the same materials as the original using the same connecting parts to avoid any reliability problems.

MEMJET Evo power module

The MEMJET Evo power module is designed to improve the performance of motorcycles with injection engine systems. This is a result of years of research and experimentation through bench and road testing on various models of motorcycles. The new MEMJET Evo power unit is able to work together with sensors which are already found on the bike changing the output values with the advantage that you will not require to remap the power module (and without such you would need to visit a mechanic with bench test facilities to get better results). Using series electronics you will always be able to get the best from your bike as there is currently nothing in commercial sale which is more perfect than the same series electronics as developed by the manufacturer for each specific model of motorcycle. Acting with the air temperature sensor, the original power unit of your motorcycle adapts the carburetion with various injection and anticipation times. This is a guarantee in how much the original power unit will never give values which will damage the engine, increasing considerably the power and torque performances. The air temperature sensor is found 90% of the time on the outside of the air box or for Ducati it is between the dashboard panel and the front headlight. The MEMJET Evo has a setting range which can be adjusted from 0 to 10. By setting the module to zero (i.e. completely turned to the left) you will have the normal standard bike setting without any change. The setting range will allow you to increase the value and set the module at the point which will give you the best carburetion. The setting which is recommended for most or lightly modified motorcycles is 5. The latest generation of engines must respect very strict anti pollution requirements and end up being penalized with moments of empty non intentional power distribution. It is also underlined that the measurement of optimisation is now defined in terms of exhaust emissions and noise and not the performance. The installation of the module is completely reversible and your bike can be returned to it's original setup in just a few minutes.

The latest product from DM Meccanica is the MEMJET Urban which has been developed to meet the needs of scooter users who are looking to get the best possible performance from their vehicles. The MEMJET Urban is connected to the latest generation of lambda probes where it reads the data, elaborates it and sends this information to the ECU which in turn will vary the injection times. The MEMJET Urban does not change the fitting of the lambda probe with the exhaust and normal heating functions are maintained. This will help to avoid all of the usual problems which can be found with the normal removal and elimination of the lambda probe. THE MEMJET Urban will also intuitively manage the carburetion of the scooter which is easily achieved by adjusting the setting dial. This in return will help you to avoid having to use specialist mapping and save you money in the process. By using series electronics you will always be able to get the best from your bike as there is currently nothing in commercial sale which is more perfect than the same series electronics as developed by the manufacturer for each specific model of motorcycle. The MEMJET Urban has a setting range which can be adjusted from 0 to 10. By setting the module to zero (i.e. completely turned to the left) you will have the normal standard bike setting without any change. If you then gradually turn the dial to a higher number, you will start to make changes which increase the stoichiometric ratio. As the stoichiometric ratio is increased it will give your scooter more power in the lower ranges and will work through the revs more quickly covering over the empty non intentional power distribution. The MEMJET Urban is the continued evolution of our existing MEMJET module and this new model has been specifically studied for the world of the scooter. It is also underlined that the measurement of optimisation is now defined in terms of exhaust emissions and noise and not the performance. The installation of the module is completely reversible and your bike can be returned to it's original setup in just a few minutes.
