At Marlin, safety is our top priority. Every Marlin lever action has these key features built in:

Two-piece firing pin: Ensures the primer cannot be struck unless the rifle is in the fully locked position. The rear section of the pin drops out of alignment with the front until the locking bolt is fully engaged. Traditional half-cock hammer position: The hammer can be locked in the halfcock position as a convenient safety.

Trigger block: This device prevents the trigger from being pulled unless the lever is fully locked up and the shooter has a firm grip on the rifle.

Hammer-block crossbolt safety: A positive, highly visible safety mechanism that prevents the hammer from striking the firing pin even when the trigger is pulled.
