Interested parties who want to avail the DOST Scholarship for post graduate degrees must submit their application until September 30. The scholarship is under the implementation of the Accelerated Science and Technology Human Development Program (ASTHRDP) which aims to improve the country's global competitiveness and capability to innovate through alternative approaches on Health Research and Development; and to accelerate the production of high-level human resources needed for S&T activities particularly in the area of Research and Development. Qualified applicants are entitled to scholarship privileges such as free tuition and other school fees, monthly stipend, transportation allowance, book allowance, group health and accident insurance and thesis/dissertation allowance. Scholarship includes master and doctorate degrees and thesis/dissertation grants for the following priority fields of study; 1. Basic Sciences 2. Biotechnology 3. Materials Science and Engineering 4. Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences 5. Information and Communications Technology 6. Microelectronics 7. Earth and Space Science (Meteorology)

Agriculture, Forestry & Natural Resources 9. Fisheries and Marine Science and 10. Environment

Application form is available at www.science-scholarships.ph and DOST Councils. Applicants must submit their accomplished application form and other required documents personally or by mail to the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute(DOST-SEI).
