Supplies: 512 MB Flash Drive (minimum) Cour se Descr iption: As a student in this course, you will learn the essential concepts of HTML and XHTML. You will begin with developing a basic Web page and move on to developing a basic Web site. You will also cover working with page design, working with tables, and working with frames. Next, you will cover creating Web page forms, working with Cascading Style Sheets, and using multimedia on the Web. Finally, you will learn about XHTML and working with JavaScript. Cour se Method: Hands on computer lab assignments will help to see real world application of concepts covered in the book. Lear ning Outcomes/Objectives: This course is designed for beginning and intermediate levels of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) programming. Topics include: URLs, basic HTML, text styles, lists, links, basic multimedia, graphics, creating a presence on the web, binding XML data, and working with namespaces and schemas. The objective of this course is to provide the skills to build presentable pages on the World Wide Web using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML. Cour se Competencies: At the end of this course the student will be able to do the following using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and XML programming languages:
Create a web page. Use a variety of styles and formatting to create a practical and aesthetic appearance. Add (clickable) links pointing to other documents and non-Web information. Method of Evaluation: Two Tests and One Final Tutorial Assignments Case Problems/Lab Assignments Use internal document reference (clickable) links. Embed images and audio in web pages. Create an XHTML Document. Work with JavaScript.

Internet Chatting, cell phones and web surfing are not allowed in class. While in class, all chats such as MSN, AOL, Yahoo, etc. will need to be signed off. All cell phone will need to be turned off
