Dear Colleagues,
It is our immense pleasure to extend a warm and cordial invitation to this year's Annual Conference of Association of Physicians of India (APICON) meet to confer on the breakthrough and advances made by medical science since we last met. Its our privilege to host the 66th Annual Meeting of Association of Physician of India APICON-2011 in Ahmedabad from 6-9 January, 2011. Those attending it for the first time will find it very informative and useful. In a span of 4 days, the meet packs with Pre-Conference CME, Plenary Sessions, Debates and Workshops. Many fresh and experienced researchers find the APICON meet to be an ideal platform to present their clinical papers. The meet has in the past attracted doctors as well as key representatives from our industry partners from all over India. Once again in APICON 2011, Ahmedabad the leading personalities and Who's Who will unite to exchange knowledge and enjoy the professional networking opportunities. APICON is the largest meet in the field of medicine in India. The participants of the APICON meet traditionally come with their families as we always make arrangements for the spouses and the children to be engaged and entertained when the meet is on. This year too this tradition shall continue as Ahmedabad and its immediate surroundings have many cultural and contemporary venues that are worth visiting. The weather too shall be perfect for sightseeing in January. We look forward to hosting you all at India's newest Mega City Ahmedabad.

Geography
Ahmedabad is located on the banks of the river Sabarmati in the northern part of Gujarat and the western part of India. It is located at 23'02'N 7235'E1/ 23.03N 72.58. spanning an area of 250km. The average elevation is 53 meters with population of around 7 million.
State of Art Gujarat has the Gujarat University Convention Centre which is located in the heart of the city of Ahmedabad. It is the 3rd largest convention centre of India with the capacity of more than 2500 persons in the main Auditorium and three conference halls of 400 capacity. It has got one of the biggest exhibition hall of 55000 Square Feet area.

gorgeous lakes. 'Adalaj ni Vav' is a unique and ancient structure of step wells. Adalaj is one of the most excellent step wells of Gujarat. It serves as a fabulous retreat during the months of scorching heat. 'Sidi Saiyad's Mosque' built by the salve of Ahmed Shah, is historically important for its twin windows which beautiful carved stone. 'Huthising Temple' is the jain shrine built by Shri Kesaraising Hathising in 1848. Sabarmati Ashram is the famous ashram of Mahatma Gandhi by the Sabarmati River. 'Nal Sarovar' Bird Sanctuary of the city that shelters a varied species of birds such as migratory birds like Ducks, Geese, Pelicans and Flamingoes.

The cuisine of Ahmedabad consists of such yummy lip smacking dishes that you'll be tempted to try out more and more food each time you enter into a restaurant.
