NOEL GALLAGHER, THE WORLD MOST FAMOUS BRITPOP-ALT ROCK GUITARIST OF ALL-TIME

Noel Thomas David Gallagher was born on the 29th of May, 1967 in Longsight, Manchester, England. Gallagher is a British musician and songwriter; he was notable for his roles in an alternative rock band Oasis. Gallagher was born and raised in Longsight, by Irish parents Peggy and Thomas Gallagher. He was the second child of the couple, after the birth of Paul Gallagher and soon after the birth of the youngest child, Liam, in 1972. As teenagers, the Gallagher brothers (especially Noel) were truants. They often were getting trouble with the police. When his mother took a job in the school working in the canteen, Noel ensured that hell stop by to visit her during lunch before skipping the rest of his day. Noel had first begun to teach himself how to play guitar his father had left him, Noel was imitating his favorite songs from the radio. Noel was inspired by the debut album of the band The Smiths on Top of the Pops album in 1983, performing This Charming Man. In May 1988, Noel first met guitarist Graham Lambert of Inspiral Carpets to find that his brother Liam had become a singer with a local band called The Rain. Noel attended one of their concerts in Manchesters Boardwalk, but was not impressed with the groups act. He rejected an offer from Liam to be the bands manager; he agreed to join the band, on the condition of take control of the group and became its sole songwriter. According to other sources, Noel Gallagher told Liam and the rest of the group after having heard them playing for the first time: Let me write your songs and Ill take you to superstardom, or else youll rot here in Manchester. This had earned him a nick name The Chief by the band members of the Rain. In May 1993, the band heard that a record executive from Creation Records would be scouting for talent at King Tuts venue in Glasgow,

Scotland. Together, they found some money to hire van and make a SixHour Journey to Glasgow. When the band arrived to the King Tuts venue in Glasgow, they were refused entry to them because nobody had notified the venue that Oasis had been added to the bill. Oasis secured the opening slot and played a four-songs set that impressed the Creation label founder, Alan McGee. McGee then took the Live Demonstration tape of Oasis to Sony America and invited them to meet him a week later in London, where the band was signed to a six-album contract. Gallagher was claimed to have written Oasis first single Supersonic, was released in early 1994 and peaked number 31 on an official UK music chart. The single later was followed by the bands debut album Definitely Maybe, in August 1994 and it was a critical and commercial success. Definitely Maybe became the fastest-selling debut album in British history, and it also entered the UK charts at #1. On 28 August of 2009, Noel quits Oasis after a fight with his brother Liam. He posted a statement on his message board on the bands website announcing his departure to Oasis. Noels first concerts without Oasis were on February 2010, at Londons Royal Albert Hall on 25 & 26 March for Teenager Cancer Trust. At the age of 18, Gallagher engaged with then-girlfriend Diane, they separated in 1988. Then moved to live with Louise Jones, whom he described Soul mate and inspiration for a song called Slide Away, they separated in June 1994. In June 1997, Gallagher then married Meg Matthews in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hed met her in 1994 through her roommate, and then gave birth to a daughter, Anais Gallagher on January 27, 200. Gallagher divorced Matthews in January 2001 on grounds of his Scottish publicist Sara MacDonald. Since his separations with Matthews, where he met her at club Space at Ibiza in June 2000. They both gave birth to two sons, Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher (born 22 September 2007) & Sonny Patrick MacDonald Gallagher (born 1 October 2010).Gallagher and MacDonald married in 18 June 2011 in a private ceremony at the Lime Wood Hotel. On 6 July 2011, Noel held a conference in London during which he announced that Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will be releasing a selftitled album on 17 October 2011, and the second being a collaboration album with Amorphous Androgynous would be released in 2012. He also announced that he would be going on tour, debuting in Dublin on 23 October 2011. The touring band of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds with David McDonnell (guitar), Russell Pritchard (bass), Mikey Rowe (keyboards) and Jeremy Stacey (drums). On 20 July 2011, Noel released a 47 second trailer of his first single "The Death of You and Me". The video

for the debut single was released on 25 July at 8:21 am (Greenwich Mean Time).
